Who did you choose to be in your bridal party and why?

I chose my three close girlfriends, my oldest friend from elementary school (I'm also in her BP) and my FH sister.

I wanted a BP of only 3 girls, but FH had 5 guys and then I wanted my FSIL so then I added another girl to make everything even.

My MOH is my best friend of 7 years. Her and her family took me in when I was having a rough time and I swear without her and her family I would've not made it to where I am in life. Her kid sister (who is also like my kid sister) is actually going to be playing acoustic guitar for us when I walk down the aisle.

My other bridesmaids have been in my life forever (minus my FSIL). I love FH's sister and am so excited we get along so well so I'm SO happy she accepted to be in the BP.


As for FH groomsmen.. his brother is his best man and its his 3 best friends since they were like... 4 years old. and then his other friend of like 10 years.

My sister is my MOH so that was an obvious choice. We are very close.

My bridesmaids are FSIL, FH's Cousin, My Best Friend, and my 3 Cousins.

My Junior Bridesmaid is my 10 year old cousin

Our Flower girls are FSIL's 2 daughters.

As for groomsmen- Best Man is FH's BIL, his stepbother, 3 of my cousins, & my cousin's husband.

We kept the bridal party with only family, with the exception of my friend. That being said, we hope that with family we wont run into any conflicts.

My BP is larger than I wanted...

My MOH is my cousin who is like my sister/best friend. The BMs are my sister (she's not my MOH bc we didn't necessarily grow up together; long story), FSIL, my cousin and the other three have been friends of mine since pre-school. I have a Jr. BM that is FH's cousin's daughter and a flower girl that is his best friend's daughter.

The BM is FH's cousin, and GM's are my brother, his BIL and 3 of his closest friends. He also has my three nephews, one of them is the ringbearer.

My MOH is my younger sister. We've always been really close and I've always known she would be my MOH no matter what!

My bridesmaids are my two cousins, my FSIL, my best friend, and my cousin's girlfriend.

Originally I asked all of my cousins, but one refused because she doesn't like to dress up apparently? Oh well!

My Bridal Party is made up primarily of friends. :)

My MOH is my little sister. We've always been close (even though we are 7 years apart) and I've always known she would be my MOH.

I grew up with FH's family so I'm very close friends with 3 of his sisters. They will also be my BM.

I also asked my best friend from College. She's like a sister to me. We've been friends since the first day of freshman year. She lived in my moms house after college while we saved money to move to the city together. She's always been there for me.

I'm having two ring bearers (a good family friends son's)

FH is having his brother as his Best Man, Two Childhood friends and my cousin as his GM.

My bridesmaids are FH's three sisters. I really wanted to keep it all in the family, except for one! We made one of my closest friends who became a mutual friend of me and FH a groomsman FH has his best friend as his BM and the rest of his groomsmen are his brother-in-laws. We both wanted a small bridal party with mainly family so we're very happy :)

I took the most important girls from all parts of my life:

My closest childhood friend is my MOH
My closest friend from NJ (I lived there for 8 years) is a bridesmaid
My closest friend from college is a bridesmaid
And My FH's 2 sisters

My MOH: My sister. She's 14 years older than me and like my 'cool mom'. She's come on every vendor appt with me and my mom and asks the BEST questions that I would never think to ask.
The rest of my BM's are my cousin and 3 best friends from highschool.

FH has his older brother as the best man, and his 5 friends he grew up with.

That above reason you posted is exactly why I haven't asked anybody yet haha. The only guaranteed is my sister who is my MOH and 2 of my friends know they're in it but I haven't officially asked them or any of the other girls. We're planning 4-5 bridesmaids and 4-5 groomsman total though.

My little sister is my MOH and then I'm having my best friend (of 20 years) and two other VERY close friends of 20 years. We're also having 3 Super close family friends as our Jr. Bridesmaids! (three kids that we couldn't imagine being part of our day)

As for FH, he's having his two cousins, his friend since childhood and a newer but amazing friend he met through his job!

He is asking his groomsmen by taking them on 'man-dates!' I made bridesmaid boxes for my girls!! They all LOVED them! I wanted them to be excited and feel loved when I asked them that important question!

My cousin, who is a year older than me, is my MOH (she doesn't know it yet though!), because she has always been more like a sister and best friend to me.

I also asked my 3 best friends from sleepaway camp, who also have become like family. They know me better than anyone, and know exactly how to cheer me up when I'm stressed, and be brutally honest when I need it.

Lastly, I chose my best friend for the past 8 years. She has supported me through a lot of crap over the past 8 years, and gave me a place to live when I had no where else to go.

My FH asked his 4 best friends from childhood to be his groomsmen. They are more like brothers than friends and they're absolutely wonderful!

I have six bridesmaids. My sister is my matron of honor, my best friend since we were 8 yrs old is my maid of honor. My 3 closest girlfriends which 2 of them I have known almost my whole life and the other since hs. and then I have my gay best friend who is also my bridesmaid. I could not imagine not having him stand by my side the day of. We had an agreement that by the time we were 30th if we weren't married we would just have a big huge wedding and take out giant life insurance poliies on each other lol. We both ended up finding love before 30 so no big fat gay wedding lol.

I am having my two sisters, FSIL, and my oldest friend from elementary school. MOH will most likely be my oldest friend, we've known each other for two decades and have been talking about one of us walking down the aisle for what seems like forever!

My MOH is my sister, we Are terribly close (and 8.5 years apart) and fight like worst enemies so its interesting.
Then I have 4 BMs: my two best friends (it's always the three of us) one I've known since 4th grade (sixteen years) And the other since high school (ten years) .. Then my other separate best friend I've known since middle school and was Also my roommate at one point (11 years) and last but not least is FHs sister who is one year younger than me and we are good friends.

I have a couple friends who are annoyed they aren't BMs bc I'm in theirs but the only way they could have been in mine is if I had more like 7 or 8 bridesmaids And I didn't want to have any let alone 8!

FHs groomsmen are his two brothers (one of them is his best man), his childhood best friend/family friend, his childhood best friend (and FH is his best man for his 2014 wedding!) and his two high school friends that he's Also currently in a band with (and he sees them almost every day).

I chose my sister as my MOH as I was hers and she is my best friend! We have experienced so much together and I love, trust and value her.

I chose my friend Ali, we are practically family. Our parents have known each other since they were 10 years old and are not in there 50's! I have known Ali since we were babies and have always been the best of friends. We are Lucy & Ethel!

I also chose my friend Christina who I met in elementary school. We have been friends ever since! I trust her and adore her. We have can tell each other anything and everything.

I haven't chosen a bridal party yet -- and now I feel like I am behind! I have a list of 5 potential girls but I haven't fully decided. FI and I decided to wait until we had a venue nailed down (which we do as of 2 weeks ago!) so I supposse we will move onto the bridal party soon.

My MOH is my FSIL. I chose her bc she is going to be the godmother of my first born and she is going to be my sister! She pretty much already is =) We get along real great and I just wanted to have this experience with her, hoping it could bring us closer together.

I also have a 'Man of Honor', my brother.

My bridesmaids are made up of 6 girls. Two of them are friends from high school, one is a friend of 7 years, one of them I have only known 2 years but have become very close to, one is my cousin and the other is a very good friend of my FH. My FH has a very tight group of guy friends, so I almost feel like I am entering this 'wives club'. This particular girl I have felt a real connection to and have become pretty close to, so we thought we should ask her!
