What better way to celebrate my 500th post than to post my last question as BOTW! Thanks again LadyReeRee! I'll be announcing the next BOTW a little later.

First comes love, then comes marriage, then... you remember the rest! We're all planning like crazy for our perfect day next year, but the next step after the wedding is typically starting a family of your own!

How soon after the wedding do you want to start a family and how many kids do you want?

I definitely want to enjoy the newlywed phase for awhile after I get married, but I also don't want to wait too long to start a family. I'll be 28 when I get married, and I'd like to have my first child no later than 30. My mom had a lot of difficulty having children and I'm concerned that I could have the same problem.

As for how many, if I can get one of each on the first two tries, then that'll be perfect for me, otherwise no more than three. I especially want a boy, so I'm kind of hoping the boy comes first!

I'dlike to wait two years before we have children. I have two adorable nieces so I'm hoping they keep the baby fever away for a bit. Knowing me I'd probably want one right away but I'd love to wait & buy our first home first. We will probably have 2 kids though I would try for a third if I didn't have a girl lol I'm all about bows & dresses. Haha. My FH's family insists we are only having boys. Lol

Good question! We will both be 25 when we get married and in no rush to have children. We were well aware we were doing the marriage thing early and we wanted to in order to have time to enjoy being married for a while. We will focus on our careers for a bit then home ownership with hopefully a bit of travel mixed in there! A family is definitely important to us, but we have a bit more to accomplish before that.

If it were up to me--we'd have a honeymoon baby! My FH wants kids before he's 35, he's 31 now and will be 33by the time we get married so hopefully not too long after we get married!!

I would like to start trying after about 2 years of marriage. I'm only 24 and will only be 26 when we get married. FH will be almost 31 when we get married so he'll be about 33. We want our own home before we have babies (we're currently living in his parents basement to save money) so we figured we'd start looking for a place shortly after the wedding.

We both want 2 kids. I'd love to have twins and call it a day but at the same time I'm also terrified of carrying his kids because he's so big. He's 6'6' and about 350lbs and I'm barely 4'11'.

I'd prefer twin boys. I'd like to have only boys because honestly... girls terrify me. Obviously I'd be happy with whatever we have... but if I could choose... I'd pick 2 boys or one of each.

I want to have them closer in age and I'd like to be able to stay at home with them until they're in pre-school if not kindergarten.

I want to be done with having kids by like... 32.

I feel like the Black Sheep of these boards!!! I'm getting married July 11 and I'm hoping to be pregnant July 12!!! LOL!! (except I'm serious!) FH and I have been together for 7 years. We bought a beautiful house that we have made our home and having been living in it happily for 4+ years now! I don't feel like MUCH is going to change after our wedding so we're ready to start the family soon! If it were TOTALLY up to me, we'd have triplet boys and then a girl...but I'll be happy with WHATEVER and HOWEVER MANY we get!!

FH's sister wanted to start a family right away when she got married. Her husband joked that they wanted their first child born on April 18, 2010 (their wedding was July 18, 2009).

Yeah, home ownership is not easy...Sometimes I wish we rented (but usually only when I'm elbow deep in the toilet tank!!)

we will probably wait a year after we get married to start a family. i will be 28 when we get married so by 30 id like to have my first child.. i would love 3 children..would loveee to have girls because i would love to by them cute outfits and show her how to put on makeup and go from mani's! but as long as my children are healthy id take boy or girl!

YES we have a 'son' Tango, he's a taco terrier (chihuahua terrier mix) and he is the love of our lives. And we are content with this!

Nothing wrong with that! I was wary of the idea for years, but my nephew really changed my mind about that. I mean, I figured before he was born that I would have kids and they would just hate me, LOL. But I think I'm past that now.

YES we have a 'son' Tango, he's a taco terrier (chihuahua terrier mix) and he is the love of our lives. And we are content with this!

Speaking of fur babies, right now we're so fur baby deprived. Our apartment doesn't allow dogs and I'm absolutely losing it over it ahaha I didn't think it would bother me so much since we got such a great deal on our place but I miss having a little fur ball to come home too.
