Good morning!I knew who I was going to pick from day one. My MOH has been my best friend since 96, and since I do not have a sister, I picked her. Thankfully I did not have a hard time.

I knew even before I got engaged that I didnt want a bridal party. The 'drama' being one of the reasons for this decision. I have a sister, so I figured no one would be hurt. Needless to say, some people were hurt that I wasn't having a bridal party at all. Can't win I guess lolol

My MOH has been my best friend for almost 10 years now. I was the MOH in her wedding 6 years ago - and I'm the godmother to her 4 year old son, Jack. I also have a younger cousin that I just love to pieces - and friends from my undergrad days that are more like sisters (actually, we call each other sister wives, since we lived together long enough in Boston to be common-law married
). But, they understand why my MOH was chosen. No drama there and they all love each other.

I always knew it would be my sister. She's my only sibling and we are really close. I think everyone knew that was the plan so no one was hurt or disappointed.

My decision was easy. I picked my only sister. I didn't even get a chance to ask her, once we got engaged she immediately said 'OMG! I'm gonna be your maid of honor!' LOL

Re: ~~~QOTD 1/21/14~~~
I have three sisters, so I didn't want to pick one of them to be my MOH. Nothing says 'you're my favorite' like asking one to be MOH
So, instead I picked my best friend since forever. We met in 9th grade and have spent more years apart than we have together, but we're probably closer for that. She lives in Oklahoma (her husband is in the Army) and I live here but there's literally no one in the world that I'm closer to. We joke all the time that her and I are planning this wedding, not FH! LOL! But, even he knows - when he was planning my ring, he went straight to her for advice. After all the engagement excitement died down I said to her, omg I'm sorry I never even asked you to be my MOH, I just assumed you were! She's like, totally fine I assumed I was too!

I'm blessed to say I have a lot of very close female friends so I knew my bridal party was going to be on the bigger side. Since I have no sisters and FH has no sisters, it made the most sense to ask my cousin to be MOH. SHe's been one of my closest friends since we were babies. At least that part of the selection was easy peasy.

I always knew who my MOH would be. Ever since I was little my cousin and I have talked about being eachother's MOH. I have an older sister, but grew up much closer to my cousin since we are closer in age. My sister's feelings weren't hurt - she didn't have me as her MOH because I was very young when she got married so it worked out.

I was actually really nervous about picking my MOH since I have 4 sisters. I ended up picking my best friend and my older sister. It actually worked out well in the end, since my 2 younger sisters didn't want to be it (they just wanna party haha), and my older sister has since dropped out of my bridal party (I'm betting she won't even show up to the wedding!). So I'm happy I went with my gut :)

i found it easy to pick, but felt bad that i didn't invlude two of my childhood best friends.. I have 8 girls, and would have had 10 if i included those 2 other girls, so i decided not to ask them and include them in the bachelorette and everything. I still feel bad though everytime we discuss the wedding. Neither one of them said anything, but I think one of them was kind of upset about it

It was no question in any of my friends heads.. My honors are my 'sisters' My besties from H.S. after that I asked his sister and my bestie from work.. I was going to ask one more friend I have had for a long time but the drama of picking another guy after my brother declined was too much so we left it 4 and 4

It was so easy for me! My sister is my MOH and then I have my cousin who is the same age as me and 3 friends since junior high. I feel bad for them because none of them have sisters...so that's going to be awkward!

I have two younger sisters, but the little one is 13 years younger to me. So it was an easy decision, my second sister is my MOH, and my little sister is my Junior Bridesmaid. I also have my best friend in the bridal party, and FSIL.

I picked my sister. No one was hurt, since it just made sense. We are close and I felt she deserved the role.

I knew who my bridesmaids were going to be as soon as we got engaged, and it took everything I had not to ask them the next morning! As for MOH, I asked my best friend to be mine. We've been friends since we were 12 years old, and lived together in college, she knows me better than anyone and is just the only person I would've wanted to stand next to me. I hurt my cousin's feelings, bc she and I are very very close (we're also 11 months apart), and were raised almost as sisters. But when it comes down to it, I couldn't trust my cousin to keep the day about me and FH and not make it about herself. I love her, but she is irresponsible.Welcome New Vendors
