I grew up practically addicted to Disney movies, so today's QOTD was inspired by the Disney movie marathon ABC Family had on all weekend haha

Is your FH the 'prince' you dreamed of or are there things about him that took you by surprise?

My FH literally came out of left field! haha...we met online I always pictured myself with the tall dark & handsome type so, of course, FH has blonde hair and blue eyes! I'm also Catholic and pretty religious and FH is Jewish. I always pictured marrying someone in my religion. I didn't think I would even consider marrying someone who wasn't until I met FH. He has the exact personality that I always pictured my husband to have - he can always make me laugh and just understands my personality without me having to explain myself. He's not what I always pictured...he's better!

FH and I met online too! I joined the site just to see what would happen and never took it seriously until I met him. Like you said, it was completely out of left field. Honestly, he's exactly what I wanted and more, and I wouldn't change a single thing about him. He's exactly my type: funny, caring, smart, and very loyal. We're very lucky to have each other

FH is nothing of what I ever pictured my prince charming to be lol. I always like guys with dark hair and tan skin - and FH is a blonde German!

I always pictured I'd be marrying a pro hockey player, no joke. And everyone that knew me thought the same. Needless to say I was not looking for anyone when I met FH, I was loving the single life, but something about him stopped all that the second I met him. It was literally like love at fist sight, there was just something about him. So needless to say I am marrying a lineman & not a hockey player & couldn't imagine my life with anyone else :)

I MISSED A DISNEY MOVIE MARATHON?

LOVE this question! I definitely had a 'type' in mind before I met FH... dark hair/eyes, 5'8' (yes, I even had the ideal height in mind!), Italian. FH has hazel eyes and a hair color we can't really figure out but we're pretty sure is in the blonde family, LOL. But personality-wise, he's everything I could have ever asked for. Almost 9 years later, he still has this need to treat me like his queen on holidays and my birthday. He's always trying to make me laugh. Family is of utmost importance to him and he's so gentle with animals and children (I mean, other than the ones he teaches, lol!).

So in many ways, he's so much more of a 'prince' than the one I dreamed of when I was younger!

My FH is everything I was asking for! However, he was the last person I expected to be engaged with. FH and I had met way before we started to go out. At tht time, he was with someone else and I was too...(obv things didn't work out) and FH and I started to talk (as friends only) nd after that is history :)

My FH is a musician and he's soo patient like really patient so understandable and funny! Man I'm falling in love with him again lol :p

My FH is just the person I always envisioned myself marrying. Looks wise I always liked bearded guys who were a little..'heavier'. His personality is just like mine, except he's a bit more detail oriented. He balances me out with his lists and constant planning. The most important thing to me was that he has a great relationship with his parents. A close family bond is super important to me!

I had always imagined that I wouldn't find 'the one' until I had graduated college and was a sassy career woman in NYC. So needless to say I never thought I would find my soul mate at 20 yrs old at college in the middle of nowhere PA! At the time I didn't think that dating a 19 yr old, partying, frat guy would ever pan out into something serious. But that crazy 19 yr old kid turned out to be the most loving, caring and family-oriented man I always knew I wanted.

I met my prince charming when we were in 2nd grade but, I didnt get persuaded by his charm until we were 15! He's grown into the FH I always hoped for and our journey to get to this maturity was interesting but, I always knew I loved his soul he just needed to mature. We are 25 now he's awesome

My FH is EVERYTHING I had always dreamed of in a man and a FH. He is loyal, caring, devoted, sweet, generous, reassuring, positive, uplifting, smart, goofy, career driven, geeky.. I just love everything about him. He makes me want to be a better person every day. I love him so much!

When I was a kid I had an enormous crush on Aladdin lol. Well, my FH is not Aladdin at all nor am I a princess Jasmine.
The only thing I ever imagined my FH to be was charming, funny, family oriented and good to me. I have the whole package with my FH. He treats me like I am a princess and goes beyond what I ever expected or dreamed of in a man.

FIRST: Coming from a BIG italian family... I always thought I'd marry an italian. Next... I NEVER thought I'd end up with a guy who is an Islanders fan. I'm a HUGE Rangers fan... so that REALLY shocked me.

Thats just the beginning. I never thought I'd end up with a computer/video game nerd LOL. But... FH is everything I never knew I always wanted.

The only thing he resembles of my 'prince'... is that he's a bigger dude. He's 6'6' and about 350lbs. Thats JUST my type. Plus he's got gorgeous GREEN eyes and dark hair <3 So freakin handsome <3

Haha we just had a Disney movie marathon on Friday night - I didn't know they were on TV! My favorite movie growing up, and still one of my favorites is Beauty and the Beast! I watched it all the time with my dad, and then FH took over that spot.

He really is totally perfect for me. In terms of a 'prince' he still does all those romantic things for me like opening doors and buying me random presents and flowers all the time and I'm happy to see that none of it disappeared after all this time. Growing up I always wanted someone that was family oriented, a huge Giants fan like my family and I to watch the games with, tall, dark and handsome and that's exactly what I got!

i was always attracted to dark haired, tattooed guido type guys and my FH is blonde hair and a jock with no tattoos..not guido at all! but i wouldnt have him any other way! he is my 'prince' because he treats me so well, he is always making me laugh and also is very close to his family which is important to me

Seriously, I knew he was the one since I was in high school. No joke.

We even had a thing 'If by 30 neither of us are married we'll get married because we get along so well.'

LOL took me long enough (8 years)to say yes to date him but when we did, it was perfect. I couldn't ask for anything more. :)

My FH is such a nerd too!! He LOVES it all and have to admit I am becoming a fan now too. We are going to Comic Con this year! He has been before, I haven't should be interesting!! haha

FH and I had a convo early on in our relationship while taking our (now) old time favorite drive out to captree...
I told him it was taking me longer to open up to him bc every little girl dreams of finding Prince Charming, but this little girl figured out prince charming doesn't exist and love is 'being able to tolerate each other,' ... And then he came along.
As corny as it sounds, I said that all totally honestly to him, and he got worried bc he thought it was a negative comment and I said 'no! It means you're just too good to be true!'

And he still is. My romantic, sweet talking, mush/tough guy, bearded/tattooed, kind, nerdy, talented, responsible, handsome love of my life
