QOTD 1-26-2013!

Sorry its late again ladies been doing so mucb today getting ready for our engagement party tomorrow. Im nervous!!

So today's question..

How did you decide on your wedding date? Does it have significance? Budget related? Time or year or venue availability?

We got engaged in September and I wanted to be engaged for at least a year before we got married. I knew I wanted a fall theme. So that left Oct and Nov we were pretty open due to our budget but wanted early october because we wanted nicer/warmer weather. It doesnt have any asignificance to our relationship but it is my favorite number!

QOTD 1-26-2013!

I always knew I wanted either a spring or fall wedding. FH and I quickly decided to go with the fall because it would be a little cooler and hopefully a less chance of rain. I love Oct and our dating anniversary is in the end of Oct so we decided to pick this as our wedding month as well. We randomly picked Oct 5th because we got engaged June 5th (sticking with the '5' lol) But we ended up switching the wedding to the 6th because a Sun night wedding was way cheaper than a Sat night.

QOTD 1-26-2013!

I always thought winter weddings had a really romantic feel to them, but it was hard to find a good date with the holidays. We decided to pick early march, it gives everyone time to calm down from the holidays, but we're still hoping for a little snow for pictures. March first just worked out for us!

QOTD 1-26-2013!

I knew I definitely didn't want a summer wedding. I hate sweating haha... So originally we were gonna pick September 20, 2013, but being as we had gotten engaged in June of 2011, it just seemed so far away & I was afraid of not getting enough sunlight for pictures, etc.
my birthday is in May, so I didn't want the wedding to be tooooo close to my birthday, so 2 weeks after worked and this was the date we picked haha.... So long story short-there is no significance

QOTD 1-26-2013!

There is no significance in our date. We narrowed it down by months and just ended up with July. I like the 7/27 numbers so we went with that. A little worried now cause July is hot hot hot lol

QOTD 1-26-2013!

I knew I wanted a summer wedding since I'm always cold. We were looking at Fridays for budget reasons, but then we realized a Wednesday before a holiday when everyone was off was basically the same thing as a Friday. We got weekday pricing for a wedding the night before 4th of July.

QOTD 1-26-2013!

There's really no significance to our date. We originally wanted May of 2013 but that wouldn't have given us and our parents enough time to put money away. We're limited because we're planning from a distance and my fiance is still in law school in GA, and I didn't want him to have to miss classes for the wedding...so if we weren't getting married in the summer, then the next time was the winter!

The deals you get during the winter didn't hurt either!

I knew I wanted a winter wedding. Our date has no significance ... Our venue only had a few dates left for Nov and Dec which are the months we wanted.

QOTD 1-26-2013!

I never wanted a summer wedding and neither did FH but we had to settle because I am a teacher. I know I could have gotten married during the year and took my honeymoon another time but I didnt feel like it was the same. Also FH and I will be just moving in after the wedding so the summertime will be a nice way for me to get used to our new apartment.

QOTD 1-26-2013!

We wanted a summer date on a Friday. We have siblings that are still in middle school/high school/college so we had to consider their schedules. My family is coming from OOT so I didn't want to have a winter wedding and risk the chance of snow preventing them from being here.

Our date doesn't have any significance but it was important for us to consider different things when choosing a month.

FH wanted a winter wedding so it wouldn't interfere with his softball.. So I decided it will be on our 7 year anniversary!

QOTD 1-26-2013!

FH didn't care about the date so it was all my choice. I didn't want a summer wedding because it would be too hot. So I wanted a May wedding. I decided the Sunday before Memorial Day because it would be a long weekend for most people.

Re: QOTD 1-26-2013!

We felt like it was fate because we decided with our parents for our engagement party to be on 7/28/12 right before we started looking, and literally every hall we liked had exactly 1 year later open for our wedding, 7/28/13, and not any of the other days we were considering were open at our top 2 halls.

thats funny bc we had to change our date (we wanted our dating anniversary 9/27) because it was fbil's 10 year anniversary.

overall september has a lot of meeting- first meeting, first date, dating anniversary!
