QOTD 10/19/12

If for some reason you couldn't get married at your venue, where would you choose? Did you have a close runner up?

We looked at about eight in total and stopped looking after seeing Sand Castle. Of the venues we looked at, I think I would've chosen Venetian Yatch Club, just loved that view!

We knew we wanted to The Venetian Yacht Club as our hall so we never looked anywhere else bu we would have probobly ended up at The Rivera or Cheatue la mer since they are both on the water.

I really loved east wind! I thought the grounds were beautiful and they quotes us about the same as the VYC. I think we just gravitated toward the ornate decor at the VYC a little more.

I am not to sure I fell in love with my venue the moment I stepped foot in it.. I prob would have checked out more venues, like Bourne Mansion.

This is a toughy since I was 100% sure my venue was the right choice. I guess the place that we liked second best was the mansion at Woodside Acres.

Our venue was my first choice - I love it more and more all the time. But if we HAD to go somewhere else, it probably would have been Giorgio's. It was the only other place we looked at that I really liked (and we looked at 10 places!)

We have the same tastes - I'm at Carlyle, FBIL married my friend at the Hamlet, and I just went to a wedding I loved at Marina Del Ray :)

Our second choice would have been in Manhattan. It was never a possibility because it would have been far too difficult for the vast majority of our guests, let alone how expensive it would have been.

The Inn at New Hyde Park was probably our runner up. We loved the cocktail hour space but didn't like the fact that there would be so many non weddings guests around (the restaurant/bar would have been open). Bridgeview will be only us and our guests the entire time we are at the facility :)

If budget wasn't an issue then definitely either Williamsburg Brooklyn or Long Island City. I really wanted a trendy venue but budget doesn't allow for it! It's okay I love Watermill for many reasons!!!

If we didn't pick the VYC our runner up was the thatched cottage. They have such a beautiful outside area and cocktail hour!!
