I had so much fun reading all of yesterday's answers!

I'm a sucker for alliteration so we're going to discuss tunes on Tuesday! What is your and FH's song or the song you plan on having your first dance to? Are you doing any other special songs for any other dances (like bride/dad, groom/mom, bridal party entrance, etc...)?

FH and I will be dancing to the Black Keys 'Everlasting Light'. We both love the band. We saw them in philly a year or so ago and while I had always loved this song, it totally hit me when they played this that it had to be our first dance song. It's such a sweet song and I love that it's a little different.

My dad and I are going to dance to 'Somewhere Out There' from the movie An American Tail. I always tried to sing it as a little girl and my dad loved it since I was really terrible lol. It's always been my and my dad's song.

All the other songs we're still deciding. Except maybe 'Born To Be Alive' for our bridal party entrance. Everyone knows I can't help but dance around when I
hear that song (especially after a couple of cocktails) so I think it might be funny to send them out to it hahaha

FH and I are dancing to Charles Bradley 'Lovin You Baby'. It's not very popular but we love the vintage sound it has to it.
I'm dancing to a slower version of Brown Eyed Girl with my dad...which just reminded me I have to look for this week online.

We're also having one of our friends, who is an amazing singer, sing Billy Joels 'For the Longest Time'.

we haven't decided on any of the music for the special dances yet ... however, I feel strongly that I want our first dance to be to something different, most likely mid-tempo so it's a bit livelier.

Since my dad passed away when I was little, I'm going to be dancing with my uncle. My mother and I agreed we didn't want to do a mother-daughter dance (she's not much of a dancer). I really want to find a slowed down rock song for this dance, since my uncle is a huge 80s rock band fan!

Our first dance will be to 'You Make it Real' by James Morrison.

Haven't decided yet on the song I'm dancing to with my dad.

We are going to be doing our first dance to The Gift by Collin Raye. We found it last year before we were engaged and agreed then we wanted that to be our first dance song, lol. Our banquet manager asked us the same thing and after we told her I said I thought maybe it would be silly since the song starts off by mentioning snowflakes falling lol. And the wedding is in October. She and my FH agreed it didn't matter. But of course as a female i was overthinking it so it will be our first dance song.

I'm not sure what song my dad and I will dance to. We share a mutual love for the band Rush. My favorite song by them is Limelight and we've joked about it but I rather go with a slower song especially since the lyrics don't apply to a father/daughter relationship lol.

the DJ mentioned something about a second dance for FH and I so we thought 'Truly Madly Deeply' by Savage Garden. He sang it to me karaoke style in our first year of knowing each other and this woman came up to me and said 'honey, he's a keeper!'. So it would be a nod to that.

We're going to do something fun for our first dance, because we're not very mushy/PDA people, so slow dancing in front of our family and friends so isn't us, lol. So we're going to start dancing to Jagged Edge's 'Let's Get Married' but I'll say something like, hey wait DJ this isn't the right song! And then play the remix of the same song, and have the DJ tell everyone to get on the floor. It's just something fun and different. And the words to the song are perfect for our relationship.

we are in a stalemate. he wants to do 'come rain or come shine,' I have a few others i've thrown out - my favorite it 'where you are' by gavin degraw, since we were long distance for so long.
No idea about dad - likely going to dance with my mom too, i have a few ideas.

Our song is Let's Stay Together by Al Green but we still haven't decided 100% on our wedding song. We're between 3.

I'm absolutely obsessed with mamas song by Carrie underwood. Not exactly sure how I'm going to work it in but I definetly want to do something for my mom with that song.

We are dancing to 'iris' by the goo goo dolls.

I don't know about my fiancé and his mom. The song for my dad and I has caused some drama because I feel like my mom is pressuring me to pick some songs that I don't really want to use. Blah.

Our song has always been Dont Want To Miss a Thing by Aerosmith. This will be our first dance song. I went back and forth because I am fully aware of how corny it is, but FH says it wouldnt feel right dancing to any other song. We 'practiced' during the first few months we were dating, so I have to agree with him.

My dad and I will dance to Daddy's Little Girl. Again, Im slightly disappointed because its unoriginal, but my dad talked my whole life about dancing to this song at my and my sister's weddings, so it is sentimental. I have mentioned a couple times that I would love to do a choreographed funny dance with him because growing up, when my sister was at college and my mom was working, I would torture my dad with girly things like playing barbies and doing my cheesey choreographed dances around the house. One time I had him dance with me on the front driveway and the next day in work a friend had said he happened to pass by at that moment lol. So it would be very us to do that, but I dont know if I will think of a creative enough way to make it funny for everyone else.

2013 crasher, we are doing this now. so hard to choose. We are torn between 2 Ray lamontagne best thing or Sade think ill leave your side. We cant decide bc they are so different. What do you guys think? You guys gave really good suggestion and just made this process a little more challenging.
