Good Morning Ladies (and Gents for those of you out there)!!!!!!
I'm a big numbers person, I really like to find connections in numbers, anything, sentimental, mathematical, coincidental, it doesn't matter...numbers intrigue me! So that leads me to my 2nd QOTD:
Does your wedding date signify anything special/sentimental? Is it the random day that was available for you? Tell me the reason behind your wedding date!
Well, while my actual date May 22 isn't anything special, (besides that Carl's favorite number is 22 and my favorite nmber is 2 lol, told u, im a numbers freak) it in a way, is a perfect date for us!
I needed a date in May/early June no matter what because school ends beginning of May, summer is too hot i sweat like a pig, and september school starts again! So May/June was perfect...once upon a time when i thought id be engaged earlier, I wanted to get married May 24, 2009! It was the Sunday before Labor day, which is what I wanted, and the best part, it is the anniversary of mine and FHs First Date! So i really wanted that....well flash forward, we got engaged Dec 08 so that wasn't happening!!
So, May 22 is the saturday right in between May 21 (the day we met) and May 24 (our first date)!! So we will be on our honeymoon instead for our 4 year anniversary
I wonder if anyone else has so much thought behind their date??? I hope so, I hope I'm not the only one this neurotic and methodical!!!

well we picked this date cause it was available, and this was a change from april date. and then after we switched to May 16, I have noticed that: we had our 1st date on 12th, got engaged on 14th, and now we're getting married on 16th (all different months tho). obviously the even #'s are in our favor using this logic I am expecting when we gonna have a baby to have it on 18th

We really wanted to get married on ou five year anniversary which is May 1st, 2010. But one of our 'dear friends' decided that even though she got engaged well after us AND asked me what date I was hoping for, she just HAD to book her wedding for April 21st, 2010. (I hope she's on here and sees this. ) But, we'll be just as happy to be married 2 weeks after our anniversary!

We wanted a November wedding, and November 13 was the only Saturday left in November at our RH.
HOWEVER, 13 is my favorite number, and everything important involving FH & I (number wise) revolves around the number 3. So it's kinda freaky.

So initially we wanted to get married end of September...FH really liked the idea of a fall wedding and I was kinda going along with it. However we got engaged at the end of September and our best friends who were engaged 2 weeks before us decided on a nov 1st 2009 wedding. We felt that we wanted to give our friends their time and didn't want to wait until the following fall....so since I always wanted a spring wedding I got my way! :) thanks to the powers that be! tee hee hee

How crazy would that be if you did?
I get so creeped out when numbers work out like that! Like I just posted on this thread, EVERYTHING involving FH & I revolves around the number 3. It's so spooky.

We wanted a May wedding because May is FHs bday month and we both wanted a spring wedding. The reason why we ended up with 5/30 is because it is the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, and we have a bunch of people traveling for the wedding....so whatever date the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend fell on - we were going with that! So no...I guess our actual date really has no significance lol

Work told me that was the weekend I could do it. I can't afford a Sat so we went with Friday 9-17-10. It's nice b/c 17 is FH's hockey # as well as the amount of people total in our bridal party. There's something else that's 17 but I don't remember what.

We wanted 10.10.10 but it was booked in the hall that we wanted so we took 10.9 instead. It really doesn't have any meaning at all.

our number is random - we actually wanted july 17th but the our RH was booked that date. but 7 and 24 are two of my favorite numbers

I wanted to get married in Spring but wanted to get married on the 17 due to our anniversary being on the 17 and because 7 & 17 are my lucky number I see it everywhere and I am not kidding. Originally we wanted April 17, 2010 but unfortunately that date was not available. SO we ended up booking May 7 which was available and it still had a 7 so I was perfectly fine with it LOL. So our anniversary will be 5/7/10- Marriage, 11/17/01- first starting dating(although we started dating in August we don't remember the date we were more serious about our relationship in November anyways so we made up this date.) Worked for us And we got engaged on 7/21/07. Have you noticed they all have a seven. Kinda cool

well, we def wanted an October wedding. Our families in Greece and Italy travel during the summers so we knew summers wouldn't work and we just happen to love the fall. I always loved the fall colors and how it wasn't too hot and not too cold!
October 10 is our anniv so originally we were looking for 10/10 but BARBTONY got it (it's okay, I love her anyway)....so we picked 10/24/10....
the 24 has no real meaning but the month does since its our favorite and our anniversary month!

Like you, I am a numbers person too. 10.10.10 has no other signifigance to us but I love the way the numbers matched up and I like that if fell Columbus day weekend.
Also when I researched the number 10, is suppose to represent order and completeness. So I'm thinking about finding a way to incorporate that into the wedding (maybe in our programs)

great question!!...our dating anniversary is 8-25 and ofcourse in 2010 it falls on a tuesday or something so we couldnt have it then...so we moved it up one month and one day before I also like it because its 24/7 reversed

Our date is not significant (our dating anniversary is 9/10) but when we were at the RH we originally were going to book a Sat night in March to save some money and then the BM told us for the same amount of money we could have a saturday afternoon in June... and I've always wanted June but never thought i could afford it! So i picked June 12th because June 5th is my b-day and i didn't want to celebrate my wedding anniversary on the same day as my birthday... and i didn't want to go too late into the month in case it became too hot. So June 12th it is!

we were looking for either march or april b/c we knew prices go up in may. then we realized march was lent and we didnt want to get married during lent. so that left april 10, 17, or 24 as the saturdays in april
wehn i told my mom, she reminded me that the 24th was my grandparents anniversary. and they were married FOREVER and my mom always says how much i remind her of her mom (she died when i was young, so i dont really remember her much). so i thought it was a sign
we wanted the 24th. but then when we looked at catering halls - including ours - the prices were sooo much better on that sunday
so we decided it would have to be the 25th
we were ready to book sandcastle the 25th, untl they told us they were already booked...but they would give us the 24th for sunday prices. OMG i wanted to jump and scream, but of course, i was like 'oh, umm....i dont know....' lol (gotta always negotiate, right?)
anyway. that is how we got the 24th and i couldnt be happier!!
im def gonna incorporate my grandparents into the ceremony too. my grandma had this awesome cross that i always used to look at in my mom's jewelry box and i always thought i would wear it on my wedding day. but im not wearing any necklace, so i am going to use that as my BoK charm. i told my mom and she LOVED that idea too

We happened to randomly pick FIL's wedding date and FH's father passed when he was 9 so its soooooo sentimental now

LOL now waittt a minute, you said your first date was the 24th so technically Gabe and I's first date was a week before we started going out! So you only win if you guys were bf and gf on the 24th!
Yea them having the same birthday is crazy! we so live parallel lives lol
