QOTD 10/18/08 my last one!!

You and FH hit the lotto. Lets say you win 20 million (oh how sweet that would be!!)

What would you do with the money??

We would add every upgrade possible to our reception.
I would upgrade the dress a bit (My dress is Monique Lhuillier, and there was a corset I fell in love with but the corset alone was 4500 bucks, I went with the lace which was more cost effective)

We'd pay for hotel rooms for all and provide transportation from the RH.

Take an amazing honeymoon!

We'd put the $$ into savings

We'd buy a beautiful home.

Its so much fun to daydream about thiss!

I would actually leave my wedding the way it is ... its everything I wanted... so I wouldn't want much more. So... all the money I would use to just pay off the wedding, THEN I'll pay OFF a house... pay off my car, then also get a new car OR two... then the rest will be put in savings for our children. Oooo what a life that would be!! LOL. I couldn't even imagine!!! Geeez... lol

I'd buy a house for us, my parents, and both of my sisters. I'd pay off the rest of the wedding. I'd take great vacations. But most surprisingly of all, I dont think I'd quit my job. I like being busy.

id get all the extras for the wedding, get limo buses for everyone and pay for all my bm's dresses.

also, buy a house, pay off my parents house and buy my brothers houses, umm id do alot more too lol

first give to family and friends
then buy a house and new cars
go on a nice vacation
pay off all our vendors
and put the rest into savings and trying to invest it

Pay off debt, extend the HM, buy a modest house for us, one my parents and one for his mother, save the rest for a rainy day. a very expensive rainy day.

buy a house, give some to our families so they were comfortable, donate some to charity, invest some, go on a very long vacation!! I can go on and on and on .... LOL

I wouldnt use it for the wedding, we've already put so much towards it.

If we won $20 million, maaaaaaaaaaybe we'd spend a little more on the wedding, but honestly, I don't think we would. We already have a RH we love, and we dont have enough people on the invite list to warrant any upgrades because it would just be too much and go to waste.

We wouldn't even buy a mansion! We would buy a nice home in St. James/Stony Brook/Setauket area, with a nice private yard and furnish it and decorate it right away, as opposed to over the course of many years.

We'd definitely splurge on an extended vaca to Greece. I'd probably tell my job to go scratch.

Maybe we'd help out our family a bit, pay off the minor loans we have (my car, etc.) Perhaps we'd invest in our own business, like an upscale Greek restaurant.

But we'd save most of it, and probably live off the interest comfortably. I'd still make FH keep a job, but it would definitely give me the luxury to stay home and raise a family.

i would prob keep everything from my wedding pretty much the same maybe hire the best DOC out there though

buy our dream house possibly a 2nd house
get new cars for both of us
get a minivan with all the extras for long trips (especially driving the 8 hours to LI)

take the honey moon of our dreams without the kiddo
take another amazing familymoon with the kiddo
put most of the ret in a higher interest savings

And finally........
Set up the shop of my dreams to make all my crafty stuff
maybe a consignement shop too

If we won 20 million we would invest some of it, buy my FH his dream car, I would pay off my student loan bills, and buy a summer home on Mackinaw Island in Michigan!

Give my parents the money back for the wedding. Pay off our mortgage. Upgrade and pay off our honeymoon. Redo our kitchen. If there's anything left put it in a money market or savings account or buy more real-estate. A year ago I would have said invest it.

Then we'd buy a gorgeous house and travel the world for a few years!
