For my last QOTD on this Sunday I am going to keep my question short and sweet.
What is the best date that you and FH have had to date?
Mine was right after FH and I had an arguement. He trickled rose petals from the front of the door all the way up to my bedroom where there were two dozen roses on the bed. Then he bought me out for this romantic dinner where we just spent the whole night talking.

for us it wasnt exactly an official date. I just broke up w/him cause he was annoying me lol, and then a mouse showed up in my apt. FH took care of it, and I was so shaken up (hate mice!) so he took me out to a boardwalk in BK at like 2AM. we just sat on a bench, watched the dark water and stars, making fun of each other, hugging and kissing. this was when I knew we are totally inlove, and we felt like that when we became a real official couple. will never forget that nite.

During the summer of 2007 I was studying for the bar exam. It was a mess; just miserable. He surprised me and showed up at my apartment and is like 'you need a break, you're taking the rest of the day off.' He waited while I showered and then took me into the city. We walked around little italy and popped into a random restaurant for dinner. Then we walked around more, went to a coffee shop and had pastries and coffee. We went home and he gave me a splendid massage... and I fell asleep. I woke up the next morning and he was right beside me. It was the sweetest thing!

It was the second date we went on.. It was such a simple dinner & movie date but it was soo much fun. We ate at The Cheesecake Factory and then we saw 'Night At The Museum' and it sounds so normal but we just had such a great time.. We spent the whole night laughing so hard and just talking away.. We were best friends for a few years before dating so I was always afraid that it would feel weird to make the transition but this night proved to me that it actually felt even more normal to be dating. It's a night that sticks out in both of our minds as the best.
Also our one year anniversary was amazing.. We went out to dinner at a really nice place where he had a bouquet of roses waiting on the table for me with the sweetest little message, and he gave me a beautiful ring. Then we went to Port Jeff to walk around afterwards and he gave me a matching bracelet to go with my ring.. It was just such a romantic night..

We've had one amazing date...when I first started dating FH he still had the engagement ring/wedding band set he bought for his first fiance (she broke it off before the wedding). So I was always like 'Well that's a little weird that he still has it' and I was always encouraging him to sell it back.
I think like 3 months into our relationship I was in Ohio for a visit. At that point we knew we were serious about each other and being together for the long haul. So on the Saturday I was there we went to a jewelry store where he sold back the rings and I got sized so he knew what size ring to get me . The sellback value on diamond rings is ridiculous, so he didn't get BOATLOADS of money, but he got some.
That night we get all dressed up and he took me out to a dinner at Flemmings (INSANELY GOOD steakhouse). He was a perfect gentleman all night: holding doors open, helping me into my seat, holding my hand across the table, gazing into my eyes...it was amazing. The food was insanely delicious but its also CRAZY expensive there...we ended up spending basically all the money he made back on the rings.
I just always thought it was such a nice gesture on his part....sort of 'This is my past, and I want to put it aside so I can move forward with you'.
