I love names! That being said, one of the biggest changes we make as married ladies is our last names, if we choose to do so.

Are you moving up or down in the alphabet, last name wise? I'm going from a C to a D.

Are you changing your last name or hyphenating? And more importantly, do you like your soon-to-be new surname?

I'm excited to be sharing a last name with him but not looking forward to a lifetime of misspellings lol. FH's last name is DiDonato. When people don't capitalize the second D it throws off the name for me. I don't know why that bothers me lol.

Changing.. I am staying a M, but is less less syllables and I will have less mistakes.. LOL.. Currently I am McEnaney.. and people are always calling me or writing McInerney.. Macanelly, AND I AM ALWAYS SAYING THERE IS NO R OR L!!!. I will be Macklin.. Nice and easy :)

I will miss my last name since it had been mine my whole life but I will not miss correcting people.. LOL

I'm going up...I'm going from G to B. Currently my last name is Gartner and everyone misspells it because they think it's Gardner. My new name will be Boyle which I really love. People are going to think I'm really Irish since my first name is Tara and I have red hair but in reality I'm only a very little bit Irish.

I'm moving up from S to G! My last name is Stein, and people always LOVE to say 'Oh, have you seen that movie?' like they're so original!!

I'm moving to Governale and am so excited to never be asked that question again!

I'm changing my last name. I'm going from S to L. My first and last name are ALWAYS pronounced wrong so I'm excited that I will actually have a last name people cannot mess up!

I am changing my last name but I will be a little sad as I am the last person to have my last name so it will be sad to know that our families last name ends with me and will not be carried on. I am going from a G to a J.

I'm going from Irish (Corrigan) to Italian (DiDonato) too! People who may think I'm too young to be married will hear my last name and be confused because I don't look Italian at all.

Aww I can understand that feeling. My friend felt the same and legally changed her middle name to her maiden name to keep it going lol.

Hahaha I'm going irish to italian too! From D to S. I don't plan on hyphenating since I luckily have 2 older brothers to carry on our last name. I like his last name, it just changes all of the names I thought I would one day name my kids. My only beef with my new last name is all the vowels!! lol seriously... every other letter.

I'm changing my name from Calamari (yes like fried squid) to Hoehl...it's pronounced Hail but with the spelling everyone says hole...so great I'm going to be mrs hole Lolol
FH jokes about taking my name saying with the name Don Calamari people would fear him and he would be able to get a dinner reso at any Italian restaurant lol

Haha!

I'm going from V to U. I'm taking FH's last name, but I definitely don't love it. My first and last names are both really Italian and FH's last name is very harsh and German, so my first name sounds really ridiculous with his last. FH actually prefers my last name too, but I think it's just because he wants desperately to be Italian!

I am changing my last name but I am not moving anywhere! I am going from Conaty to Cox... yes thats right, my new last name will be Cox. It is a fairly popular name (i.e. Courtney Cox) yet people always feel the need to laugh and make pervy jokes-- in fact I was one of them on the first night I met FH. I am really okay with the name, I think the jokes are funny so who cares, but what upsets me is the things I could never (in good heart) name my children. For example, I really love the name Jack, its a family reference from both of our sides, but I could never name my son Jack Cox... its not difficult to image what the bullies will make his middle name!

Sorry if this was a bit crass, but it comes with the name lol, you asked!

Lmao!

Aww I love the name Jack! We plan to use it. But it would invite a lot of jokes with a last name like Cox :-/

I am going from Muscarella to Mango. Yes, Mango, like the fruit. I am happy to be switching just because Iwill share the same last name as FH and it is shorter but I do like the sound of my name better. I know whenever people ask my name I am going to get sick of saying 'Mango like the fruit' lol

*for the record when I met FH his pick up like was as follows:
FH: Hi I'm Mango (all his friends called him by his last name)
Me: Hi I'm Kristin. Did you say Mango? Like the tropical Fruit?
FH: It's not a tropical fruit, its a passion fruit

he swears its the first time he used this line! doubt it
