QOTD 10/23/08*

Hello girls!!

When I first got engaged a lot of my ideas have stayed the same such as the color of my bm dresses (we wanted a wedding around christmas so i chose red), i still want the same cp, bo-k's, favors, etc. However, the one thing I changed my mind on was going from getting two limos for the bridal party to having one limo bus for all of them! I did not like the way they looked at first and then slowly started to like them. When we went to Camelot and saw the limo bus, i loved it and I figured the bridal party would also have the best time in it!

So here is the question....

Throughout the wedding planning what ideas have you kept, and what ideas have changed? What made you change your mind as well?

my wedding is turning out the be opposite of what i've always imagined.

I always thought my RH would be a modern looking hotel, but we ended up booking the Inn at New Hyde Park, which is pretty ornate and romantic looking.

I pictured a navy blue theme, I even said 'i'm not having any pink in my wedding!!', now my wedding is all pink...

i got my dress first, and i think it kind of dictated a more romatic, softer feel....

I changed ideas on my colors. I thought I wanted Christmas wonderland with whites, platinum and icy blue.. but I picked the Venetian and the colors wouldnt look good in there. I started liking a deep red with gold instead. I've stayed pretty solid on my bp choice, my fh and I guess that's it.

My date and colors have changes but, everything else pretty much stayed the same.

Evrything has changed for me from colors, BM Dresses, Themes, etc. I can never make up my mind. The only thing that has stayed consistent is my dress, From the time I first saw it a few years ago I knew I had to have it. I'm actually starting to get on people's nerves b/c I keep changing my mind so much.

Welli changed the place cards to teh beautiful Shadow box frame. Simply because its so neautiful & has teh brooch like everything else i have in my wedding.

I changed teh amount of people i wanted 4 we ahev 5 but im so happy i did because i wanted Fh's cousin in it so bad. She is the closest to a sister he has.

Everything else i knew inmy mind & pretytymuch have it.

I always thought I would have pink for the BM's and I am using sky blue. Other than that everything has pretty much stayed the same,

I wanted a small fall wedding in Northern New England but FH said no to it bc he thought it was too much driving for everyone. So I have now turned from a country bride to the princess bride which is so not me but I am loving the idea more every day.

My ideas didn't change too much, but I did ADD a ton of ideas thanks to my LIW grils! lol. I already knew what colors I wanted, blue and purple, and where I wanted it, and all that. All the things I changed were all so minor I can't even think of any. But, I am thankful that I added everything I did. LOL

the only thing that changed was how 'girly' i wanted it..being a tomboy i was like no way but as time has gone by my inner girl is coming out...aww my mom is somewhere smiling lol

Thats so funny. I wanted different colors and a complete beach theme and after picking Venetian I am going with gold and red too!

As most of you know, I've changed my mind on my dress, I've kept the flowers the same, changed the limos, changed my mind on favors but I LOVE what we're doing and I'm starting to get excited again

I changed the time of year and my colors, but I always knew that I'd be having these colors IF the wedding ended up being in the winter. I also changed my ideas on my dress, I didn't think I'd want strapless or a mermaid/trumpet, and that's what I got!

We're still not done booking flowers or trying on BM dresses, but all of my ideas have totally stuck (color scheme, church, RH, Bridal Party) so far except for THE DRESS!!!!

I thought I would want a sexy red carpet mermaid bridal gown, and after gown shopping experience number 1, it almost became that.

Then I went with my deep down inside dress I always wanted, which is a ballgown =)

I think the only thing that has stayed the same has been my groom!!!

I originally wanted a small destination wedding. FH wanted the whole big wedding thing. I thought it would be stupid because even though neither one of it acts it or looks it, we're older than most first-time marrieds. I resisted at first but now am totally excited!
