QOTD 10/25/12

Sorry to be posting this so late...hectic day! I was wondering about bachelorette parties.

Questions: Are you involved in the planning process or is it going to be a complete surprise? Where/what do you want to do/go? Anyone doing a co- bachelorette/bachelor party? Is it going to be just bridesmaids or other friends/family too?

Two of my friends got married this year and I was a bridesmaid in both of their weddings. For one bride we went to Las Vegas and for the other we went to Miami. Instead of the traditional bachelorette parties we normally use it as a girls only vacation. I think my fh is going to Costa Rica for his bachelor party (thats where they went for his friend's this year and they all loved it and want to go again...so we will be doing seperate parties. I still haven't decided where I want to go yet but I am super excited for another vacation with my girls. I will probably just be my bridesmaids going. I plan on helping pick the location and hotel but after that I will leave it up to them.

I am going to New Orleans in a few weeks. My FH is going to New Orleans the end of January. I will probably go out in the city that Saturday he is in NoLa.

I have been involved with the planning of the New Orleans trip. But I am very type A and like to be in control lol.

My MOH is pretty much in charge of the whole thing, although she did get some input from me. I don't know what we're doing, but I asked that it not be too expensive, and at least part of the party has to be appropriate for my FSIL, who is a bridesmaid and only 14. I'm hoping for something low key, maybe spa-related during the day, and dinner-drinks-dancing at night. I have a small BP, so I want some girlfriends and cousins to go.

My bridesmaids just asked me for some general ideas - the rest is a surprise. I did ask them to do something in the day that my sister and cousin can go to (they are 16 and 19) and maybe even my mom and FMIL. I'm super close with my mom so it would be nice if we did some spa stuff or wine tasting with her.

We are going to AC. I am involved for the big stuff like what we are doing but not for the little stuff (gag gifts,room decoration etc...) I dont like surprises so I needed to know most of the details. The idea of a joint party has been talked about but FH hasnt made a final decision.

I recently decided I definitely want to go to Awesome 80s Prom!!! I only have a MOH and a BM and the BM won't be able to make it since she lives in Maryland so we'll definitely ask other friends to join us. FH is probably going away for a weekend! Lucky him!!!

I have been dropping not so subtle hints. i think my sis & fw's bro (moh + bm) are planning together for a co-party. I want to go to either Lips or Fire Island. we will probably have close friends & the BP but i feel like normally bach parties are too expensive for people outside the BP?

I told my girls I wanted to go to AC for the weekend, but they are planning the details. I know that's what FH wants to do too and will probably do that same thing. We probably will even have it on the same weekend, but we will not be at the same hotel!

Do you know when you are going? We might be there at the same time since we are getting married a day apart.

Oh how funny would that be! We might be going the last weekend in June, or the first weekend in July, but it's not definite yet. I will keep you posted! Do you know when you're going??
