happy hump day ladies!!!!!

so lately me and FH have been looking at houses and debating about maybe buying one.....

Where does everyone plan on living after your married? and do you plan to buy a house at the same time as all this wedding planning?!?

We live in our apartment right now and plan to stay here another year. FH wants to look for a house in 2010.

FH and I rent a beautiful apartment on City Island. We have a three bed room apartment on the first floor of a house, a back yard and a front porch. We plan to stay there for a few years until I finish school and then we are plan to buy a house.

We closed on our house on Friday. FH was tired of renting. He takes better care of places then the owners he rents from and wanted to put time and effort into his own place and gain some equity from his monthly payments. But my grandparents and parents has been saving money for me for a house since before I was old enough to think about it, and I have been saving for years, so we had a really good down payment. For us it was a good decision but its hard with the wedding, honeymoon and with me back in school.

well, if all goes according to plan, we are going to purchase my parent's house, they are supposed to move to florida... so that the plan for now. if not, i'm convincing him to move to brooklyn to me so i can be closer to my job! (he can work in nyc)

We are going to live on the 3rd floor apt at my parents house (its a 3 family house). My dad renovated the whole apt for us. We will live there for a couple of years and then buy something. We def cant afford it now with the wedding.

we are planning on moving to Florida to be closer to my parents 2/1/09. We are going to rent for a year to make sure we like it.

We rent an apartment now in Elmont. We'll prob stay here for a little while after the wedding. There's enough space, its close to both our jobs and my landlord is awesome.

we rent now we are planing on renewing our lease 1 more year then after the wedding we will decide from there if it's better to continue renting or look into the houses we have had our eyes on.

We rent an apartment in hicksville now and we have another year on our lease after the wedding. We will then decided if we are going to stay and buy a house in this general area or if we are going to leave LI to a not so expensive location.

Im hoping we stay in the apartment I am in now and when my son finishes school, 4 yrs later, we will be a house.

we have been debating back and forth. with the economy the way it is we could probably get a good deal. But after thinking it through A LOT....we have decided to stay in our apartment until after the wedding (which is coming fast!) and hopefully start looking for houses shortly after the wedding.

We just fought over this like crazy last night (bad timing for QOTD! Vent time!)

Apparently I'm spoiled because I would like to live in a house, and not work if we have children. Therefore, we are going to rent in a slum for a year to FH can amass enough money in savings to apparently pay for a house outright in cash or something like that.

My fh just bought a house out in farmingville so i'll be moving in there with him after we get married...

and I have to say it is extremely stressful to do both !!!!
