happy hump day ladies!!!!!

so lately me and FH have been looking at houses and debating about maybe buying one.....

Where does everyone plan on living after your married? and do you plan to buy a house at the same time as all this wedding planning?!?

Our original plan was for me to move into my FH coop in bayside, however, now we are thinking about buying a house..... we just dont know if its a smart thing or a doable thing to do at the same time as paying for the wedding expenses

we rent a coop in bellerose and LOVE IT!!!!! we never want to move

We were looking at buying a co-op... but we got an AMAZING deal on renting a whole house in New Hyde Park so we move in Dec 1st!

in november we are moving into an apartment in Seaford. we plan to save for a while (year or 2) until we can buy our dream home. I dont want to end up like all these poeple now who jumped in too early and are being forclosed.... We are being super conservative with money... Anyway...we love the area in Seaford where our apartment is so may end up buying there...but originally...we always planned and talked about buying in the Bellmore/Merrick area....

I bought a Condo last December and FH moved in with me in May.. We are going to stay in the condo for a few years then look for a house.

Currently we're in Queens living in my apartment, he's renting out his co-op in Hewlett.
Eventually in the next year he's going to sell his place, and after the wedding we are going to start house hunting in Merrick.
Once we get a house we're going to hold onto my place and rent it out to to my brother,

We currently live in the city, so we'd like to stay here for the next 1.5 years while we're planning the wedding. After the wedding we'll start looking at houses on LI.

It's just way too much time, money and stress to do everything at once. We don't think there's a rush to do it all together. And, this way everything is more enjoyable!

FH & I both own homes. We live in his home regularly & the other is the beach house we rent out part of it & the other is when we want to stay there. We are looking to purchase another after the weddding and rent out his.

FH recently moved into my apartment in Floral Park. We will probably stay there for a year or so after the wedding until we can save enough in conjunction with the money from the wedding to put a decent down payment on something In Nassau County.

Or maybe we'll just move upstate. But that can't be until I have my teaching degree in 2011.

Fh has a house so we will be living there for a while. After we have kids(hopefully soon) we will move out of our current house.

We are currently house shopping. Let me tell you, it's a little stressful doing that on top of planning a wedding!!!

I don't know how we're going to afford it all!

we are living in an apartment now that has a good amount of space and we LOVE our apartment. we don't know if we will buy a house right away next year. it all depends on the market and our financial situation. we also want to get pregnant shortly after the wedding so i think we would wait a little while so we aren't moving when i'm prego!!!

We're renting a beautiful condo on the main line of PA - 10 minutes outside of Center City, Philadelphia. We weren't ready to buy in PA since we just relocated last year. We like it here and it's much cheaper so we might consider putting an offer on this condo after the wedding. I do know that, when I start having children, I'd like to be in NY with our families.

We are going to stay in my apt in the city b/c i have RIDICULOUSLY cheap rent (well for where I am) so we can save some money - then think about buying later. like when I am pregnant and panic at the thought of having a baby in a 1 BR!!

We rent a house in Hampton Bays. It is ridiculously small, a cottage, but the location is killer, right on the water. We'll stay here for a little while, but Ill keep looking. The problem is we both work even further east (Southampton and Brigehampton) and prices are out here are a bit silly!
