So yesterday night I went to my nail salon and they had wedding magazines all over. This woman saw me flip through them and started asking about my wedding and my DRESSES???? I was confused by this question and she was shocked to learn that I had purchased only one dress.
so
Would you wear more than one dress to your wedding? If no, why not? and if yes, why?
It honestly got me thinking and in my hearts of hearts I feel that one dress i plenty for me. I don't know about you girls but it took me a while to find THE ONE. Just like it took a while to find FH and know he was the one. I don't want a second dress or a third. I want to remember the entire day and remember I wore that one special dress....but that's me!

I would only wear 1 dress - haven't found one yet, but will only want to wear 1. I am very traditional and would love to just wear 1 dress for the occasion.

I wouldn't because I love my dress and would love it if the wedding lasted a week so I could wear it every day!!! I feel like a princess in my gown and want to cherish every moment in it.
I understand why some people would want more than one dress for the surprise element and the fact that some dresses (like mine) feel like they weigh 35 lbs!!!

Re: ****QOTD 10/3*********
ok well ive had this conversation a few times...even my dad was curious if i was going to give in to the 'wardrobe change' mentality....
while it would be 'fun' to have 2 pretty dresses....im SO sentimental, so ridiculously emotional and attached to things, and I really couldn't do it...
some ppl have said too that my particular wedding dress is really heavy and hot and that i should get a reception dress...BUT the verdict is that I will NOT
besides the fact that my mom spent LOTS of money on what im wearing on my big day, and I would not expect her to buy another one, nor would i want to insult her by going and buying something else...
i feel a very sentimental attachment to my gown...like you said, finding FH as 'the one' took a long time, and we're not gonna have a new guy to be married to at the reception!! LOL I think that the dress represents the same idea for me.....the ONE PERFECT GOWN to wear for the ONE PERFECT HUSBAND!!
i won't even try on other gowns because I feel like it's 'not fair' to the one i bought (as if it has feelings LOL) but that's just how my mind works.....
so NOPE I'm a 1 dress kinda gal!

Sorry, crashing from 2011 (I'm SO BORED!)
Let me ask you a question...
Of what national origin was the woman in the salon who was asking you about your dresses? Some cultures do that as a tradition. Just curious.
But I would have to agree that I want one dress. The day is long, but short at the same time... not enough for outfit changes, if you ask me. And I do think it makes the dress you chose less special if you feel the need to supplement it.

I would....but I'm not going to. I love my dress so much and don't think I'm going to want to take it off at all. BUT.....I have contemplated getting a white party dress for the after-party at the hotel bar........we'll see what finances look like. I may either just go in my big poofy ballgown or maybe even jeans and my Sexy Little Bride tank

I'm wearing my one and only. I made sure that I picked a dress that can carry me from the ceremony through the reception.
