What is your stance on prenuptial agreements?

my fh and i are for them, not because we're concerned our marriage won't work or anything but in the event something happens to either of us, our significant other is protected, like if i decided to splurge on a 2000$ handbag right before my untimely death, my spouse is protected against my debts...student loans that kind of thing... so we're doing it to protect our loved ones rather than insurance on the possibility of a failed union.

eh...if someone has something to protect (money, homes, insurance policies) then i say go for them...but if you have nothing then i dont see the point

i totally agree with this...i dont have any more money going into this then he has so i dont see the point.

I've got practically no debt and a rather decent 401k. I will be buying the co-op/condo before the wedding so we might just draw up an agreement that this is MY house... the rest, eh... I don't have anything else.

I am more concerned about drawing up life insurance policies and wills when we get married.

I'm planning to draw one up for a variety of reasons...all of which would take too much time to explain. Simply...I own the house...he has two kids. In case they turn into nightmares, I want to protect myself. I'll eventually reevaluate at some point...when I see how they turn out. LOL. Since I'm pretty much raising them...I hope I do a good job
