QOTD 10/31/11

In the spirit of today, what were/are your favorite Halloween memories?

My favorite memory as a child was getting dressed up and marching around the circle in front of our elementary school and having an all day party.

Now, I love to see my nieces dressed up and my friends kids get excited to go trick or treating.

My favorite memory is the year I had a Wonder Woman mask with the elastic string that held it to your head. That was my favorite childhood costume, ever.

Currently I love seeing all the kids creative costumes, and of course all the free candy everywhere.

My favorite memories were trick-or-treating with my sister and my dad. I'm from Maine so it was always chilly so no matter what our costume was, we had to have long sleeves or even a coat underneath. My dad would drive us around and when we got home we'd dump everything out and sort the candy and then trade each other for the candy we liked best. We'd give my mom the heathly stuff like pretzals, haha.

Now I like dressing up with FH and venturing out and eating candy while watching football the day after. I'm looking forward to him taking our kids out trick-or-treating :)

I was a weirdo that hated going trick or treating when I was little... I loved dressing up, but hated the actual trick or treating part lol

Now, I like decorating my house and having everyone over for halloween. I still hate trick or treating and the fact that I have to go out and buy candy and have kids knocking on my door all night LOL but I do really love seeing the kids in costumes.

Melissa, I have a similar memory. The high schoolers would dress up and walk to the elementary school and parade around the bus circle, which is something I always looked forward to. The cool part about it was that when I got to 12th grade, I was able to be in the parade. (My friends and I won a prize actually lol).

Just getting dressed up and walking around in the night with all my friends! one year we thought it would be funny to sing Christmas carols at their doors instead of saying trick or treat lol lame!. I just love this time of the year. Now I enjoy getting my daughter dressed up and taking her out to trick or treat!

My favorite memory is cutting school, coloring my hair and going around trick or treating and then getting in trouble with my mom.

I have to admit....I am one of 'those' at are completely afraid of Halloween. I really do not any of the scary things, I hate it when people jump out and try to scare you.

Now, thank goodness my FH, is around to take my daughters trick or treating.

My favorite memories of Halloween are from working at a haunted house. I worked at the haunted house that used to be at Sports Plus in Lake Grove. I had some of the best times of my life at that place.

Well sorta Halloween related - My birthday is just after Halloween. One year my friend was sick and missed treat or treatin' so for my Birthday party we decided to go a few days late! Some people weren't home for Halloween so they had a ton of leftover candy and hooked us up

Scary!! I never went in there because someone told me there was a Chucky in there, and I'm petrified of him!! Remember when it was Space Plex when we were all kids?!

My favorite memory is sitting with my family eating pizza watching Rocky Horror Picture Show after all the trick or treating!!

It was my senior year in high school and my group of friends decided to dress up like crayons, we each picked a color and they were awesome costumes. We were trick-0-treating and then a group of like 14 year olds were laughing at us like we were the biggest group of nerds. It was awesome!

I loved going out with my friends for hours filling 2 pillowcases worth of candy. Then I would go home & the OCD in me would sort out my candy on the floor by candy type! Ohhhh how I miss those days
