Happy Halloween!!!

Here's today's 50-part question - answer it however you please!!

Have you ever been to a Halloween wedding? Would you have yours on Halloween? Why or Why Not? If you did, how far would you go with a Halloween theme - a little decor? Guests in costumes?

My cousin got married on Halloween - I was too young at the time to be invited. But she had quite a theme going - even alternating black and orange BM dresses! I remember her favors were pumpkin baskets filled with candy corn (because I got to eat my parents' one!)
Personally, I am not a halloween person so I would not have my wedding on halloween. If i did, i'd keep the theme to a bare minimum. FH doesn't like halloween either - in fact he said to me last night 'Ugh, what are we gonna do about halloween when we have kids??' My response: 'lets hope that we think they're cute in their costumes and that gets us through it!'

So, what about you???

I think a halloween wedding could be alot of fun, if its done right. I would never have guests show up in costumes. Personally, I wouldnt have my wedding on halloween. its a fun holiday and I love dressing up- but FH hates it and I wouldnt want a halloween wedding.

I wouldn't for 2 reasons-
1- I'd be afraid people would show up in costume
2-Halloween also happens to be my b-day

Ive never been to a Halloween wedding-but Ive seen them on tv and pics when searching for flowers. I think its different and a way to be creative. Theres so many wild things that you can do and if your that kind of people than why not??

Have you ever been to a Halloween wedding?
Nope

Would you have yours on Halloween? Why or Why Not?
We actually almost did. When we got engaged in Dec'08, we were first looking for dates in late summer, early fall 2009. The only Saturday evening that most places had available was Halloween. But we decided we really didn't want to do it on Halloween. Also because Halloween is my best friend's daughter's (my FG) birthday, and I knew she'd want to be throwing her a party.

If you did, how far would you go with a Halloween theme - a little decor? Guests in costumes?
If we did, I would've done a masquerade theme......so not a real 'halloween theme' but old fashioned masks and things like that.

i've never been to a halloween wedding... and had never really thought about it until recently. My friend is going to a halloween wedding next year and is really upset about it because she has a kid (and will have a 2nd by then). She lives here in VA and the wedding is in NY... which is fine b/c her family is in Nassau. buttt the wedding is way out east - meaning she won't get to spend any of halloween with her kids.
Because this has just come up - i can see how it might not be the best for some people and thats why i, personally, would not have a halloween wedding! If this hadn't come up, maybeeee, but i wanted more summer/spring wedding anyways!

I've never been to one...I doubt that FH would want to get married on Halloween, he loves this holiday and probably wants to celebrate it in its own right...I wanted to get married on the 4th of July and he flat refused...so I'm guessing Halloween is an even worse offense.

If I were going to have a halloween wedding though I'd make it a masked ball...I think tha'd be kinda cool

I've never been to a Halloween wedding. I would not have one b/c I'm not a huge Halloween fan & I am a summer person.

I am so NOT into the whole dressing up and putting costumes. I like just being me. So no I would def not want my wedding on Halloween, for that and for the fact thats its getting colder. I dont like fall/winter time, and thats why we're having the wedding in the Spring

I do love the combo of black and orange tho, so cool! And I would love to attend a wedding on Halloween, that just sounds like oodles of fun

Initially I wanted a Halloween wedding, but FH was not onboard. His bday is the night before (last night), so he wanted it to be its own special day. The ideas I had were Black tie, masquerade type gala....BMs black dresses, beautiful orange fiowers in har and holding matching bouquet, blk linen overlays and chair sashes with orange napkins, jack o lanterns on the tables carved for table numbers, a hand held face mask as a favor with a candy apple and a candy bar at the end of night.

I have never been to a Halloween wedding, but would love to go to one. It could be really fun if it's done properly. I wouldn't have a Halloween wedding.

My b'day is 7 days b4 Halloween and I hate it! It's always cold, so no way would I have my wedding then...besides, that silly day would steal my wedding's thunder!
