QOTD 11.5.13

and question of the day for today. what are you doing for your bachelorette party? or have already done?

for mine which is Nov 30th we're having take out dinner at my house to save money (I wanted lips originally)plus we can talk more and have real girl time before the craziness.

the limo is picking us up here at like 7 and we're going to McGees in the city which is the how I met your mother bar (my fav show of all time) than we're going to Culture club for the night

and at the end of the night we're going to Cafeteria for some late night I'm drunk and need food now.

Re: QOTD 11.5.13

I've been thinking about this. I'm sure if my sister (my MOH) had her way, there would be penises flying everywhere. I don't want a raunchy bachelorette party but something Lowkey. I was thinking spa day then drinks/dinner!

QOTD 11.5.13 - Long Island Weddings

I'm hoping for something low key also. We're all in our 30's now and sort of over the partying scene (not that I hold it against anyone, if you can hang, get out and party! I just can't hang anymore, lol). So I'm hoping for a NYC food tour, wineries, spa day... something like that. My MOH knows what's up. I'm not worried!

QOTD 11.5.13 - Long Island Weddings

I am planning on maybe doing a weekend in AC. I have never been and we all like to drink! HAHA. So we will see. I wouldn't want any strippers though. No thank you. I told my MOH, but who knows if she will listen lol

QOTD 11.5.13 - Long Island Weddings

I have no idea. My MOH is planning it along with my bridal party. I like the idea of going to AC so I've mentioned that when they've asked. I DO NOT want strippers - they actually gross me out and make me super uncomfortable

QOTD 11.5.13 - Long Island Weddings

I'm interested in something low key too, just dinner, but apparently all my friends who are married with kids, are looking for a weekend away so I think we're going to go to AC. Fine with my I do love to gamble.

QOTD 11.5.13 - Long Island Weddings

I'm definitely interested in something a little more low key too! I'd love some time with my girls to talk and hang out! I think a day out east at the wineries would be really fun, then some dinner and a sleepover! If not that, a night away with some beach time would be fun too!

QOTD 11.5.13 - Long Island Weddings

I dont even know if I am having a bachelorette thing, two of my bridesmaids are under 21 and I am not much of a party girl myself. Lots of fatty greasy foods is more along the lines of how I celebrate lol. But I live soo far from my girls who all live hours away from one another.

PS I went to McGees...it was very nice, not quite what I expected.. it was a standard bar with yummy foods and a couple of HIMYM posters haha. But I still enjoyed the nostalgia!

QOTD 11.5.13 - Long Island Weddings

I agree with most of you that i'm hoping for a lower key sort of party. Me + MOH were talking and thinking about going out east to my family's beach house, getting a party bus and going winery hopping. Probably a fun dinner later back at the house followed by a slumber party for anyone who can stay the night. I think it's a good mix of partying and relaxing.

you can always do lips it's still something and I don't think you need to be 21. I'm probably doing that in January so my cousin who is 16 can come and feel included.

was Mcgees just a basic bar? I mainly wanted to go there to say I've been and take pics in it lol. I have Johnny Utah's as a back up to go to if it's boring lol. we can't go to Culture club until at least 9.

You only have to be 21 to drink at lips but I do believe it is 18 and older to get in.

For bachelorette party I would like to do a weekend in AC with my girls do maybe a boardwalk bar crawl, dinner, then go to a club. Or do a night out in the city do dinner, then go to a club, end the night with a girlie sleepover.

we are going to the MGM grand at foxwoods for the night... we will go up to Mystic, CT early at like 8 or 9 and walk around, go shopping, hangout by the seaport and get lunch. Then, we will check-in around 3 and will hangout and gamble a little bit before getting ready to go out for the night. My bridal party chipped in for this bowling thing in the casino where we pay like $60pp for 2 hours of unlimited bowling, top shelf liquor, beer, soda, and a ton of food. After that, we are going to shrine nightclub in the MGM grand

We're trashing it up for a long wknd in AC in 3 weeks!!!! The theme of the night is 'Sl*ts and Slots' lol. My friends are pretty crazy so I actually took the day after the bachelorette party off knowing we're going to be partying late into the evening (and early morning). I can't wait!

PS Cafeteria has like THE BEST mac and cheese ever. Enjoy!

Lips has no age requirement - it's a restaurant. Anyone can go, but it's 21 to drink. (I'm bringing my 16 & 19 year old cousins with us to dinner, and the 16 y/o's parents are picking her up after)

We're taking a limo to Lips for dinner with just the girls, then meeting up with all the guys in a private room at the 40/40 Club. FH & I are obsessed with Jay-Z and have all mutual friends so it's gonna be fun. I can't wait!

one of my BM's is suggesting a quick trip to DR (Thur-Sun) she says you can do an all-inclusive for around $500 including airfair. I love to travel so I am cool with that. Basically I want to do a mixture of some dancing, some drinks/food and relaxing with my girls.

QOTD 11.5.13 - Long Island Weddings

I had my first bachelorette party as a wine tour out east last month, it was great being chauffeured around in the limo all day long! We were all hammered by the time we got back LOL

Part two will be after my shower in Brooklyn two weeks from Saturday! I'm not too savvy on places though, anyone know of anywhere good to go in Brooklyn?
