what made you pick your reception hall?I always loved Fox Hollow. Years ago I fell in love with the winter garden room after literally seeing every place on long island almost. (I was sort of engaged to my ex but we never got married, went nowhere, but yeah got to see all the RH of long island lol)
Anytime I need to clear my head I drive down Jericho turnpike usually late at night and it's so pretty in the winter, Fox Hollow all lit up. Once we got engaged I heard about the new Somerley room and had to see it. so after dragging FH to one other place we both didn't like, we went to Fox to see the new room. We both fell in love and a few days later booked it :) I love that it's new so no one I know got married there, I love the hotel next door, I love the restaurant inside so we can celebrate yearly there. I love that they've been around forever. I love that it's only 20 minutes away. I love it all lol.

I wanted three things in a venue (aside from affordability)1. Something a little different
2. One wedding at a time
3. Somewhere none of my friends have gotten married.
When I heard about lessings and checked them out I called Timber point and West Sayville. When I spoke with Steve at West Sayville he asked if FH and I could come down THAT NIGHT to see it still decorated for the holidays so we could see how it would be. I got there first and I was immediately in love. When I walked in.. I knew. I knew this was it. When FH walked in a few minutes later... he loved it. Steve (our BM) was amazing and he was just SO passionate about the place it made us love it even more. It is just the PERFECT place for us <3

Aww yeah Fox Hollow especially in winter is gorgeous. Was there last December and stayed at the Inn. Great wedding. What made me fall for Chateau Briand....I just thought everything was really nice. The vibe I got from the huge palm trees in the lobby, plus their outdoor cocktail hour space, plus the main ballroom...I just had that feeling of 'this is it.' I just could visualize our family and friends here. Most of us are coming from Queens and it's close enough that people don't have to stay overnight and can go home after.

The Metropolitan:1. Not a 'wedding factory'
2. The space is modern and clean
3. The food is out of this world
4. THE PRICE!!!!!

FH and I just totally fell in love with that greenhouse-look-with-an-upscale-slant that the Winter Garden Pavillion at Fox Hollow has. I mean how perfect will it be for our PM winter wedding?? If the stars are out, thats great. If its snowing (SLIGHTLY...NOT BLIZZARD PLZ GOD), thats amazing too. The room needs minimal additions with regards to uplighting and florals....its so pretty on its own. We are also huge foodies and the Fox Hollow, on average, gets pretty good reviews in that area too. And I love how our guests have a choice of 7 different entrees for dinner...not just the usual 3/4 (if they can even eat after cocktail hour). The price was certainly reasonable, even after the 20% tax/gratuity add on. If I could change one thing, it would be a wish to get into the bridal suite (in the catering hall) before 6:30pm for our 8pm ceremony. That means shlepping myself in the cold from the hotel next door. It would have been nice to be able to settle and get ready all in one place. One of the downsides of the Fox Hollow having an afternoon wedding, as well.If we had $$ to burn, our first choice would have been De Severksy mansion. Fox Hollow is going to be amazing, though - I cant wait!!

We fell in love with Wind Watch for a few reasons:1. The banquet manager Kim, shes so warm hearted and knowledgeable about everything wedding related
2. THE VIEW! I could not stop thinking about how beautiful it is (the 2nd highest point on long island)
3. One wedding at a time, I get to decorate the lobby however I wish
4. The food was absolutely amazing.. like mouthwatering amazing!

FH and I fell in love with the Fox Hollow. We had a great experience since our first visit. We loved the food, the gardens, the rooms, the hotel, people working there, everything! they made us feel very comfortable. Last week I went to their showcase, all rooms looked amazing!! The food was delicious and they put new floors on the WGP! and they are renovating the restaurant as well, everything looks perfect! I am more than happy with our choice, the FH is just beautiful and we cannot wait to get married there!Welcome New Vendors
