Good morning!
Ok, so todays question is in regards to planning the wedding.
As you've all been going through the process, chosing elements and vendors and making decisions on the 'big' things - and the minute details - what ONE DECISION have you been wavering on (or has kept you completely stumped)?
For me and the FH, its definitely the reception entrance song for the wedding party and the two of us. We have the ceremony songs all picked out (processional and recessional) with no problems. We also had no problems thinking of a song for the parents/grandparents to enter the reception to. For some reason, though there is no one song that just speaks to us when it comes to the wedding party/bride&groom intro....and its gotta be a good one! Its driving us (well, me) nuts!

Mine would definitely be flowers. FH and I feel that they are a complete waste of money because they will be of no use to us the next day. However, our room is really formal and we feel that without them, it won't look as nice. We were given the option to use the ones provided by the hall so we'll likely use those.

Photographer/Videographer.. LOL I just had not had time to really take off work and go to place after place to look to see who I like. I am going to a showcase in brooklyn tomorrow though with FMIL and I am hoping to see someone I like but if not The Pros seem to be my back up plan right now.

The pros and cons of hiring a videographer.... The team I wanted was booked when I asked them a year and a half out!! Haven't booked anyone else as of yet bc the money is too much and I'm bitter that I am missing out on this team. Womp!

Videographer, for sure. I spent the afternoon last friday looking at other peoples wedding highlight videos from one of the photographers we're looking into and I thought, I NEEED THIS!! Then I talked to a few friends about it and they both said, I've never watched my wedding video. And FH is like, that's a lot of money for something we'll watch MAYBE one time. So, I'm back and forth. UGH!

Songs for sure, for our dance, for parents, for entrances. I just can't make a decision. I keep thinking of good ideas and then I will change my mind 100x over and over, and I just can't bite the bullet yet. I still have a while so hopefully I can decide by then!

I've had no problem making decisions as I know what I want but I am stumped on something so stupid right now...what flavor should the cake be. There are just so many stinking choices, I can't seem to decide

I can't seem to decide if I want a photo booth or if I want to add a dessert station at the reception. Our budget can only let me pick one, and I just can't seem to pull the trigger on either option.

definitely bridesmaid dresses. I've been in so many weddings (as most of my BMs have too) so I want to do something different, especially since we've all wore almost every color as BMs at some point. As of now I'm settled on doing gray dresses but wanted to find something a little bit more sassy than david's bridal BM dresses. I have BMs from ALL OVER (including one in Hawaii) so i'm thinking david's might just be the easiest. Hoping to nail this down before the holidays!

FH and I did the same thing a while back. Decided against it - its just so much $$ and GOD knows what I'm gonna look like at 2am....I certainly don't want memories of that. Not to mention, FH's dad will likely walk around for a bit with some sort of device.....he's addicted to that stuff :)

Invitations, can't seem to pull the trigger on this one and make a decision :( and BM dresses... Can't seem to get the motivation for this check. Just not something I am excited about.

We've got 11 months to go and if you had asked this last night, I would have said which pictures to use for our save the dates, since we have many from our engagement shoot we could use. But, we figured it out this morning

I'm really stumped about what kind of centerpiece to use. This has been bothering me for months! We are visiting our florist again in the spring so I have until then to really come up with a solid picture of how I envision the room.

I went to a wedding last month that had no videographer. They asked a few people to record on their own. My FH brought his good (small) videocamera to record the ceremony and parts of the reception for them.

I have seen my FSIL's wedding video 5,000x. It's like a running joke in the family. Sometimes she randomly puts it on when she's over. But then again, we both come from big video families so that explains that, lol. I know me personally I won't watch my own that often. I don't like watching myself! But there will be times I'll want to look back on it, for sure.

Song has been a hard one for us too. We have gone back and forth on a few song a couple of times already and we are both not 100% happy with it. Limos has been another one cause until I can nail down the day of timeline we might be able to get away with just using the hotel shuttle and not having the added expense.

When Jocelyn answered me I was like, yeah she's right I don't need it. Then what you said, that you'll want to look back one it some times, I'm like, YES I will too! I have the appt with the photog a week from today. If I can get them to budge on the price AT ALL, I might just do it.

I say if its important to you, then go for it. Get them to give you a great deal :)

Songs have been stumping me too. We have less than 4 months to go and I've changed my mind so many times. Don't even start me in ceremony music lol.
