Good Morning ladies - I'm heading to the doctor in a bit but wanted to post this before doing so.
Let's learn a little bit about our bridal parties - Who is your maid/matron of honor and why?

I am having a maid and a matron of honor.
My maid of honor is my best friend Lisa. She and FH went college together and really b/c of her he and I met. Lisa and I went to high school together - became really close when I was away in college and have become great friends over the years. She has been a bridesmaid a bunch of times and is a good planner so I am pretty confident in her handling certain things. I also think its nice since me and FH are 2 of her closest friends - so her speech will include some stuff about both of us.
My matron of honor is my best friend from college, Nicole. She is getting married 10-10-10 and I am actually her maid of honor. We met playing field hockey and actually I wanted to kick her a$$ the first time I met her but then I realized she is pretty cool. She lives up in Buffalo now so we don't see each other that much but talk on the regular. Including her I have 2 friends from college in my BP so she can help the other girl w/ dress stuff and logistics for the shower and what not. She has talked me off ledges many of times before so I really wouldn't imagine my day w/out her by my side!

This is a good question because Im having a hard time choosing mine. Its between my cousin, who growing up was like a sister to me, and my best friend. Im kind of leaning toward my cousin because my best friend is pregnant right now (due in July) and it may be to much for her with a new baby and all.

My Matron of Honor is my friend Stephanie. I have known this girl since we were in the 2nd grade and we've been for the most part inseparable ever since (we didn't attend the same HS or college). We talk to each other about everything and she is always there when I need her. I can't even really say we've ever had a fight or anything. There may have been a moments in our friendship when we've gone a long time without talking (not because of anger towards one another, but due to our own separate lives being chaotic and leaving us with minimal time to hang out or talk) but once we saw each other/called each other up, it was right back to where we left off. I know I can't count on her to be there for me whenever I need her and I know as far as the wedding goes, she will always be up to helping me out with whatever I need. Side note: I was also the Maid of Honor at her wedding.
My Maid of Honor is my kindred spirit, my other half, my rock - Rosemarie. I really have no words to describe this girl and how truly amazing she is. There has never been one time where I have had a problem when she wasn't able to help me solve it or talk me through or just be there to listen to me (and of course vice versa). It was kinda of funny because we met while I was going out with my ex-BF and she started dating our friend Alex (who was in a band with my ex). We took to each other immediately and couldn't believe there was another person out there who was just as sick in the head as the other (honestly, when we get together, the things we talk about and say would make another mother cringe LOL - but it's just natural to us). Well, years later, at her grandmother's funeral (R.I.P) we discovered something even weirder - we are actually distant cousins (I believe when we did the actual math it was like 3rd or 4th cousins). My great uncle and great aunt had come to the wake and I was like 'Um what are you doing here?' and they said that Roe's g-ma was their first cousin, and me and Roe looked at each other and the first thing we said was 'Now this all totally makes sense' LOL. That just brought us even closer and I just couldn't see walking down that aisle and standing up there on that alter with my her by my side.

my maid of honor is my sister, christine. This was a very easy decision for me bc not only is she my sister, but she's my best friend and I couldn't imagine asking anyone else.

my MOH is my sister!! it was such a simple decision for me I was her's and she is mine. Although we didnt always get along growing up we get along great now. Im so happy we finally are best friends!

My maid of honor is my sister. It was the easiest choice.
I have 1 sister, a ton of friends and cousins. My sister is maid of honor. Everyone else is a bridesmaid.

I had an easy choice.. My sister is my maid of honor my BFF is married so she's my matron of honor i have 2 best friends but one lives out of state and cant help me as much so shes just a bridesmaid and thats fine with her

I have 2 sisters and i am in the middle so i was my older sisters maid of honor , my little sister is my made of honor and my older sister was my little sisters maid of honor. I definitely got the best deal out of this bc my little sister adores me and will do any maid of honor duty i ask her to. She has already made me a spread sheet of all spring flowers with pictures.!

My maid of honor is my best friend who I met on the first day of orientation at college almost 7 years ago. We started in pharmacy together and even after I changed my major, we remained super close. WE lived together for 2 years and she's always been there for me, we never fight and I just love her to death. I know I can count on her and she's not a cheapskate She was here before FH and she saw the whole relationship develop. She's lived through every argument and every thing he's done to annoy me and every wonderful thing he's done for me and after my parents she's the first person I called to tell her I was engaged. That's why she's my MOH

A friend of mine, asked me recently was it hard to pick from my two closet friends. And I replied no. I knew from the day I got engaged Michelle would be my MOH. She is always there for me even when I havent been the best of a friend. We know each since we are 13yrs old and she knows the in and out of being a BM or MOH. My day wouldn't be complete until she was there by my side . BTW I can't wait for her speech hehehe

My Matron of Honor is my sister. It was a no brainer to pick her. She's my only sister, my best friend, and has helped guide me through the whole wedding process. I was her maid of honor, and she taught me a lot from it. Not to mention, we got extremely close during the process.
Speaking of speeches, I butchered mine at my sister's wedding because she told me not to write it down and to do it off the top of my head. BIg mistake.
So because of the fantastic job I did at her wedding, she has been prepping for her speech since I got engaged.

My Matron of Honors are my two older sisters. They are 9 and 10 years older than me, so they were each other MOH's, and I picked both of them! The rest of my girls are: my cousin, FH's sister, my high school best friend (I am her MOH this year), and my college best friend.

My maid of honor is my little sister( well she is 25 ) and she is my only sister so of course she was automatically my MOH. If I didnt have a sister it would have been FSIL because I <3 her

My cousin is my maid of honor. I had 2 but I had to get rid of 1 due to her behavior.

my MOH is my sister, whom I love very much..but she is 22 & we are very opposite As of now I feel like she couldn't care less about my wedding or being my MOH. She's even been nasty at times when I talk about anything wedding related. It hurts me alot & we've had some talks about it. I think she just doens't really know anything about weddings. I have been obsessed since I was 7, she never gave it a thought. So I'm trying to understand where she's coming from & not freak out too much. Hopefully as it gets closer she will understand her role & enjoy it

My MOH is my sister as well. My sister and I made an agreement way back when that we would be each others MOH's because its just us. We are very close and there are times that we finish each others thoughts. She's seen my relationship from the very beginning (I mean where I actually met FH) and she's been calling him BIL since then. Although she has no duties to do right now, I know she'll have my back with every decision I make during this process. I wouldn't (and couldn't) have it any other way.

My sister is my maid of honor and my god sister who shares my same bday is also my MOH. I am closer with my godsister than my own sister but had to be politcally correct in my familt but sis takes the role seriously.
