If you eliminate having to do one thing for wedding planning what would it be?

I would eliminate having to deal with a florist at all. It's our last big vendor to book and I'm really procrastinating!! Lol

I would eliminate planning the whole thing. If I could afford it, I'd hire a planner, give her a blank check, and say 'tell me when and where to show up'. She could even pick out my dress.

This. Flowers are the least of my concerns and I just don't care enough about them. Its just bouquets so I really want to put it off as long as possible.

if I could eliminate any part of wedding planning it'd be the annoying family members who all think they know everything. my mom's family who all live down south by her, who have never lived in NY, or gotten married here (except 1 aunt of mine in 93) have all had opinions and annoying things to say.

the day we booked Fox Hollow my aunt (who got married here in 1993) was like you better not be paying more than $50 pp for a sat night winter wedding. I was like um prices have gone up since the 90s lol. so then she told me how I got ripped off and how I must have picked the most expensive place in NY.

it doesn't help that my mom complains about the price of everything to everyone. this being after she offered to pay and said okay to everything last year. both my parents actually offered together though they are divorced and agreed on the whole final cost which we haven't gone over btw.

me and my girls went down south to see my mom in June and it was awkward for my girls to listen to my mom go on & on. they were like but you agreed so why are you complaining now? like months later. it's like buyers remorse or something lol. I even offered to cancel wedding awhile back but both my parents insisted no no it was fine. yet still complained! it's been even more awkward for FH and caused many fights. actually only after I broke out in hives and almost ended up in hospital in Sept from all the stress, they only then finally shut up.

my mom even complained about having a 2nd shower down south after I said I didn't want one yet she insisted. and then insisted we all go party and stay in New Orleans though she complained the whole time. even though my girls offered to pay and she insisted on paying for it all. it was just so awkward for everyone. my friends just kept offering money and she kept saying no way but then kept complaining.

I would eliminate time. Can it be October 25 already?

Hmm…I think I would have to say that I would eliminate flowers too. To me, they're such a pointless expense. I can't justify spending thousands on something just to make a table look nice when they will serve no purpose the next day.

I would also eliminate annoying family members :) And hire a wedding planner to do it all for me!

I would eliminate figuring out logistics. I hate worrying about where people will stay and how they'll get from point a to point b. it stresses me put every time I start thing about it!

Hmmm....I think I would eliminate the very few (and very easy, I might add) little planning/preparation things that my FH has to be a part of....such as tuxes, dance lessons, pre-marital counseling, etc. Just because I am extremely organized, good at multitasking, and want everything done yesterday. FH, on the other hand, wants to wait til the last minute for everything and stresses out over having to do anything Mon-Fri other than go to work.
Is it just me, or are women just exponentially better at handing a heavy work load??

I am with Jen. I would eliminate the planning and hire a wedding planner!
