Yay!! Thanks so much Melissa for making me BOTW!!!

The question is actually inspired by a kindergartner I subbed today. She told me she was going to get married on top of the empire state building because 'it's the tallest thing in the world and everyone across the world will see me get married!' (I love their imagination)

So, when you were younger, how did you feel about marriage? Did you have a 'dream wedding' in mind? Do you feel like you've been planning for it since you were little?

For me, honestly, I never cared much about marriage. If it were up to me when I was little, I'd have kids first! I can't wait to be a mom, so that's more what I dreamt about. The one thing I do remember about marriage when I was younger was when I was in elementary school and my friends and I would plan a wedding for two friends during recess. The people chosen to get married changed every day. Those were the times!!!! Cheap wedding in the playground :)

Congrats Katie on being named BOTW!!

I never really thought about my wedding or what I would want it to be like when I was younger. I think more then anything I was afraid of marriage, which thankfully I can say I'm not anymore. Even though I never thought about what it would be like, I am planning my dream wedding now.

Congrats Katie... I guess I was not the typical girl. I always tell Andy that I was never the girl who dreamed about their wedding since I was a kid. I knew I wanted to get married and have a family but never really thought about the actual day.

Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with those who did!

I don't think I was one of those girls that dreamed about my wedding. I think as I got older I just hoped I'd get married.

Id imagine that a lot of little girls today are dreaming about a wedding like William and Kate.

Haha - I actually got engaged at the top of the empire state building.

When I was little, I always dreamed of my wedding but now that it's actually happening, the reality of planning isn't as fun as I hoped it would be. I loveeee my FH with all my heart but I just want to be married already. lol

I never dreamed of my wedding, which I always thought was odd but now realize is common.

I too am totally tired of the planning and money and family drama. July better get here fast!

I always wanted to get married and have a family, but I played 'house' way more than I played 'wedding.' I don't think I ever dreamt about what my wedding would be like until I was able to make it a reality.

I always thought i would be married right out of college which is not the case. I'm 5 years out of college. Dream Wedding? I guess elegant but details were not thought about. And no i have not been planning it for years but the actual planning process does feel like years lol.

I dreamt more about the dress than the actual day! Once I was old enough to grasp the concept....I thought a lot about big fairytale gowns, horse and buggy, prince charming, etc....

Now I have a more simple outlook--true love and commitment.

I never really envisioned my wedding when I was younger. I guess I started really thinking about marriage and my idea of how the day will be when I met my FH, I guess from the moment I met him I knew he was definitely the one. LOL

I wanted to get married in Cinderella's castle in Disney World and I wanted to wear Jasmine's outfit as my wedding dress.

I always dreamed of my wedding and prince charming! Could not wait for my prince charming to get me away from my evil mother.

I always said I was going to get married at Yankee Stadium.

when I got engaged i actually did look into it. LoL About $50,000 just for a venue was way out of my budget!
