Good morning!!

Tonight is our rehearsal dinner and I will be seeing fmil. I really hope everything runs smoothly!! This has inspired my question.

If you could change something about FILS what would it be??

fmil is a real pita! She has been married 6 times. She puts on an act like who she is. I would change all the problems she has started lately.
ffil is another story he wasn't even invited to our wedding. I would have changed the way he has been there for fh-maybe show up more than once every 5 years.

FMIL is very phony...shes always in our house looking for something. I wish she knew her boundaries. Her husband likes to be the center of attention by trying to make a fool out of others & he ends up looking like an a$$hole. I wish he knew when to Shut his mouth. FSIL is young & dumb (which we've all been). I pray she grows out of this soon.

I love FHs lil bro, grandpa, one aunt & two cousin!

Ok I'll do it anyway HAHA! I WISH FMIL would let her son grow up! Cut the cord LADY!!! And I wish FFIL would learn that he doesn't know EVERYTHING about ANYTHING and don't make a face when I correct him on something (FH and I are in a union and FFIL thinks he knows what to do in situations but he really doesn't and it messes FH up with the union policies). I could go on and on but I think I'm just going to stop there.

I'd want his mother to not be so stuck on the fact that FH and I are not the same race or religion. But she'll never get over that, so she'll always hear my same response...YOU BROUGHT YOUR CHILDREN TO THE MOST DIVERSE COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, OF COURSE THEY'RE GOING TO BE EXPOSED TO OTHER CULTURES AND RELIGIONS - AND THEY MIGHT LIKE SOME ASPECTS OF THEM. DUHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

i would put a filter on FMIL. She is very sweet and generous but says everything she thinks and it can sometimes be hurtful even though she doesnt mean it to be.

FFIL - I actually really like him, but I would like it if he were a little more open emotionally and said what he felt instead of picking fights with FH

I actually genuinely love FFIL. I would say the one thing I would change is to sometimes not have awkward pauses between conversations...those took a while to get used to!

I would change her relationship with FH, so I can actually have a relationship with her. But he’s very close to his Aunt, she’s like a mom to him, so she’s like my FMIL. We get along great.
