I love my FILs. There is not much I'd change about them. One thing I would change however is I'd make them a little more forward thinking. They're very old fashioned in the sense that whenever we have dinner it's the woman's job to cook, serve and clean up after everyone while the men sit around and smoke cigarettes and drink wine. One thing I told FH when we first started dating was if he's hungry, he knows where the kitchen is!

I love my FFIL but I wish that FH invited him over more often and spoke to him more often. My FMIL passed away about a year after we first started dating-but she was always wonderful to me and I wish that she was here so that she could help me plan the wedding.
HOWEVER, I wish I could change my OWN parents. My father is not coming to the wedding and my mother has never offered to help me plan ANYTHING and has recently started bad talking to everyone about me and FH and how our wedding is going to be bad (cause its in the afternoon) and ugly (cause apparently I have bad taste).

I wish his parents would stop defending is oldest bro's behavior all the time and insisting its all 3 of them causing the fighting. Obviously its him, Fh and other bro are not to blame for all the drama. its annoying, all this has been so stressful with no one talking to him. i tried this week and he was so mean to me. awesome... less than 6 months until our wedding, Fh and bro have not spoken to him in 3 months and he and his 2 kids are in BP.

My FILs are very last minute people which is the total opposite of me. Probably the only other thing is that they are never on time. That's something that drives me nuts about anyone. Give or take 10-15 minutes, but longer than that I think it rude. Other than that nothing too major.

I can't really change her... she's very critical and just doesn't have anything nice to say about his brother's wife. No women who are with her sons...all three of us...but she is harsh on her. I would prob also want to change that she doesn't speak english very well. I would love to be able to have a deep conversation with her.
