~QOTD 12/19~

Good morning ladies.
I am soo under the weather today.....my stomach is killin me and I feel like I didn't sleep at all. But, a little talk about weddings will totally lift my mood...I hope. lol

Anyways, todays question -
What is everyone doing at their 'theme' for their wedding? What made you think of that theme? Did you ever change your mind?

Originally I wasn't going to have a theme so to speak...it was just going to be pastel blue and lavender and that was it. But, then I saw soo many beautiful butterfly wedding items, so I changed my mind to incorporate them into my wedding. Now it's butterflies galore! LOL.
FH always used to call me his butterfly...so it suits us perfectly.

I don't have a theme. My colors are black, white and a touch of hot pink so I am just trying to incorporate everything into that. I guess it has sort of a modern touch to it... thats about it

umm dont really have a theme but I am a huge fan of the color purple, lavender and all shades in between so I have incorporated lavender and ivory through the wedding planning

i guess you could say my theme is Black and White/Ivory. My Bms are wearing black and my dress is ivory and everything will be either black or white (invitations, programs, menus, flwoers will be white)

i just have always loved the contrast between black adn whtie and think it looks great to have the only one wearing white be the bride!

No theme here.....but my colors are red and lime green....the lime green came from a cover of Martha Stewart Weddings where the colors were pink and lime green.....Im so not a pink person so the pink was changed to red

We're having a beach theme.
We decided to have it once we knew we were getting married on a dock

I dunno if my wedding has an actual theme, I'm just using different shades of pink. My Bms are in light pink with a hot pink sash, my flowers will be the same. I'm thinking of having white table cloths with light blush napkins to add some color to the RH.

I was thinking of incorporating butterflies somehow but I'm not sure what to do.

We don't really have a theme either but our colors are blue and white. We are just trying to incorporate our colors into everything as well.

Our theme is fall with halloween touches. I didn't want a full blown halloween wedding - after all, it is a wedding.

I'm not doing a 'theme' Since it is fall, I want fall colors and flowers, but don't want it to be over the top.

I keep telling FH that the key word for the wedding is 'elegant.'

We dont exactly have a theme. But I'm trying to stick to specific colors...The colors I am incorporating are light pink, white and light green. I've found two centerpieces that I feel projects that perfectly....

I wasn't originally planning on a theme either but I everything I seemed to be drawn towards had a antique/vintage look to it so I decided to have that as my theme so I had some direction.

I am doing a Fall theme. Because, well, the wedding in the Fall! I have always loved deep reds and orange and yellow. I want to incorporate some leaves and I think we're going to give away little maple syrup bottles as a favor.

I don't have a concrete theme per se, but I'm trying for an old world European/Ventian Christmas theme. Basically I'm just using rich deep burgundies and golds, warm ivories, and jewel tones and maaaaaaybe some masks for whimsy.

I started with pink, until I saw a picture at my photographers of girls in turquoise dresses holding pink bouquets and decided that was my color scheme. Then we decided to incorporate the boat. So it took on a beachy theme. We are having sand-dollar name cards, turquoise beach glass in the votives for the flowers, shell candles around the flowers, and salt water taffy spread out on the tables. But I am trying not to go to overboard with the beach theme, I don't want to lose the formal aspect of the wedding. The girls will still be in long dresses and the cake won't have shells on it.
