Good morning ladies. I am soo under the weather today.....my stomach is killin me and I feel like I didn't sleep at all. But, a little talk about weddings will totally lift my mood...I hope. lol
Anyways, todays question - What is everyone doing at their 'theme' for their wedding? What made you think of that theme? Did you ever change your mind?
Originally I wasn't going to have a theme so to speak...it was just going to be pastel blue and lavender and that was it. But, then I saw soo many beautiful butterfly wedding items, so I changed my mind to incorporate them into my wedding. Now it's butterflies galore! LOL. FH always used to call me his butterfly...so it suits us perfectly.

My theme is chocolate brown, sage green with touches of gold. Im going to have a fall theme with a leaf motif on the invites and the favors i ordered incorporate these colors and they have a leaf on them.

ooh - this makes me feel better. I don't really have a theme but I assumed everyone did. mine is colors, deep purple and ivory. FH really wants a theme. .. he saw some wedding show that talked about how imp a theme was and thinks we should have one. .. . I think that's cute but am not convinced. . we both love theater and musicals though and he wants to do something SUBTLE around that but I'm not sure it won't just seem tacky. .. .

Seems Like I am the only one with a theme... I am doing a Winter Wonderland Theme. Yes I know my wedding is in the Fall... but I really love how the royal blue and white and ice colors look and I'm a big fan of winter and snow and snowflakes and the cold... i could go on and on here but I will control myself. I just didn't want the threat of snow and i wanted the weather to be nice enough to be outside for a little while. So the BM's will be wearing Royal Blue.. and then the walls will be uplit blue with all white centerpieces (candleabras) and candles everywhere. We are also doing tons of winter branches with twinkling lights... and maybe even some fake snow on some surfaces. Also, I incorporated a snowflake here and there .. wherever I could put it in. We are doing the light thing on the dancefloor (every DJ called it something different so i dunno what to call it)... and I will get a snowflake in there.

Re: ~QOTD 12/19~
Our theme has changed so many times...
Our vision (for now) is pointing to a Hollywood feel (think Vanity Fair's Oscar party) to it...its hard to say specifics at this point for HOW we're doing that, since we're still picking out a lot of things (colors, flowers, invites, etc) But so far the only thing fitting in this theme is my gown! LOL We're thinking of having FH wear a pink Burberry tie w/ his tux (to match my blush wedding dress) and the rest of the guys in Burberry ties as well (just a different color)..but thats still in the idea process.
I've completely stopped making major decisions on the wedding b/c I'll end up changing my mind, and it's still so far away; we don't need to decide on a lot of stuff until the summer.

well it sort of turning into a yankee theme wedding. the colors are blue and silver, we are having a yankee symbol sign on the dance floor, yankee cake topper, and having the yankee announcer announce our wedding party. my FH is really happy about that.
