~~~QOTD 1/25~~~ TAKE 2

Let's try this again.... I totally erased the QOTD I worked on for the past 20 mins.... UGHHHH

Anywhoooooo...

Thanks again to Rachel for choosing me! I know I was shameless and posted 'Pick me next pick me next' when she was chosen last week.

SO.. Yesterday we found dresses for FMIL and my mom. Mom's is the pewter strapless and the Eggplant is my FMIL. She's loving it!!!! I'm so happy that they're happy we were getting nervous about finding something with time slipping away this fast!!!

Well..... at David's Bridal there was a lady trying on dresses for her son's wedding. She's had on an all IVORY/ WHITE dress. Very pretty... very white. We all told her it wasn't a good idea. It got me thinking what would you do if your FMIL showed up to your wedding looking like a bar of SOAP!!????

I'd prolly scream at FH..... but not say anything to her cuz I'mn a wussy.

ummm i'd never let it happen! my fmil sadly passed away but if she hadn't i would definitely go shopping with her and i know she would have never picked out a white dress. i'm sure even if she didn't go shopping with me, she would tell me what color she wanted to get and i'd put a stop to it before she even bought it, let alone wore it to the wedding!

Ummm, i would definitely not be happy but if i didn't know until she actually showed up on the day of our wedding, I guess I would just have to deal because I wouldn't want it to ruin my day. After the wedding though, the gloves would be off!

eh, whatever. i'm so not picky and i know my FMIL wouldn't ever do anything tricky like.

ill try to find out what shes wearing before hand and if she wanted to wear ivory or white i'd tell FH to take care of it. but its just common knowledge. you just dont do it.

In reality, it wouldn't happen. Both my mom and FMIL KNOW not to wear white to a wedding. And I made that VERY clear from the beginning.

In theory, I'd be pissed, but I wouldn't let it ruin my day. She'd be the one to look like an a$$, not me.

id be really pissed! esp bc all the moms asked me if i had color preferences. I told them anything was fine except black and pink (my bm colors) and obviously white/ivory. if they hadnt of listened id be so upset

I told my mil i wanted to see her dress before she altered it. When we went over to see it guess where it was at the dry cleaners.
She felt that I didnt need to see it-which is so rude
if she showed up in a dress like how you described and it was too late to do anything about I would make her feel as uncomfortable

I know FMIL wouldn't do this, but she would tell me the color or show me the dress beforehand, and I would mention something to her about the color or FSILs would. If she just showed up like that, wouldn't ruin my day/mood.

I honestly don't care what my FMIL wears...I won't really be thinking about her too much that day. If she wears white, she's going to look dumb as sh!t which is good times for me

If I knew in advance I would probably take it out on FH and make him deal with it. I know I am a huge chicken so I wouldn't say anything. If it happened on the day of I would probably get pissed and my MOH would calm me down and tell me it wasn't that big of a deal. Then again I dont really know unless it really happens.

What makes you think that saying 'pick me' had anything to do with it?

Actually, my step FMIL is wearing outmeal and its just as light as my champane-colored wedding dress. Other than the fact that my FMIL, step FMIL, or my mother didn't ask me to see their dresses before they bought (granted I'm in city and they are on LI), I'm okay with it. They are all giving a lot to the wedding and I know ill still be the center of attention so if they feel pretty and confident in their dresses, I'm okay with it.

if i knew b4 hand (which i wont because she refuses to show me.. so reallly U NEVER KNOW)

if she does show up in a white dress.. she willl look foolish, not me. limited pics. and she doesnt dance anyway so its not like we'll be side by side much.

i have enough shyt to worry about. i wont let it get to me

I dont think it would ever happen...we all sat down yesterday to go over that and suprisingly both my mother and fmil had the same color in mind lol.....they want either eggplant or periwinkle,

Not sure I would pay too much attention to it. I'd think it was ridiculous, but she would look like the idiot. Thankfully I am sure this wont be a problem for me
