Today's question: how did you come up with a color scheme for your wedding?
FH and I both have blue eyes, and blue is both our favorite color, so we always knew that that would be our primary color. I had asked my bridesmaids for dress suggestions, and one of my girls suggested the color Marine Blue from David's Bridal. I looked at the palette and instantly loved it! My MOH sister's hairstylist suggested that tangerine goes well with blue, and she asked me if she could wear that color for her dress. So there you have it!

We really didn't have a plan....we found a DIY invitation that we liked and used that color palette.

FH and I love Disney (if that hasn't become apparent yet to you ladies! :) ) and he told me that the first time we watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks was the first time he knew he wanted to marry me and started thinking about proposing.
So 'fireworks' was the color theme I was going for, the base color being a deep blue (cobalt) to represent the night sky and then pops of color (fuschia and sage green) to represent the fireworks. And that's why uplighting was such an important vendor for me to book!

Always loved the color Purple So just found another color that would compliment it very well.

Loved the color purple and looked up schemes. Then I saw the purple and blue orchid and the rest was history!

I've always wanted some shade of blue as my primary color. Then when I originally went dress shopping I picked a silver Maggie and instantly changed my color to black bc I just thought it was a elegant look. Well I ending up falling in love with an ivory Maggie and was already so in love with the black/silver combination so I stuck with it. I have since added a touch of red.

WM is very rustic looking so I am just keeping things similiar to that style but adding colors of purple and blingy items.

I just decided we would have a nautical theme to go with our ocean front wedding. Thus...navy blue and yellow!

Originally loved pink, but thought it was overdone. Also didn't want a cupcake looking wedding!
I wanted happy spring/summer colors that would look nice at the vineyard. Found Yellow dresses I loved and it was my mom's color, but by the time I went to the store to check them out that color was discontinued! Couldn't find another yellow dress I liked. yellow's a hard color.
Found my dress, which has latte in it surprisingly and I needed something to match. Yellows didn't go so well anymore.
Said to myself SCREW IT I wanted pink way back when and the Blush color I found looked nice next to my dress' colors.
So now I'm having an latte/ivory/blush wedding palette. A lot softer and calmer than I thought I would get!
I may need another tiny splash of color. I've got some ideas but we'll see when I get my sample swatches!
I dunno, my colors may be considered cupcake-ish now.

Ha! Pretty much the same for us except for the shade of blue.
Ours is navy and champagne.. I just love how they look together and FH approved

This was the hardest part for me. I felt like I needed a theme so I basically picked 2 colors and narrowed it down to 1. I feel in love with the peacock theme so that's the route I'm taking
