We half inherited/half bought(we had to buy out his uncle) fhs grandparents house. It needs some TLC because its an old house but its got 4 bedrooms and a big yard plus a basement and we are making it our own. Ffil grew up here so I can't wait to raise his grandchildren here.
We recently moved into a 1 bedroom apartment in massapequa in september. We plan to stay here for 2 years then look to buy a home preferably in Massapequa or somewhere close to here. We'd love to own a home before babies so hopefully it will happen but then again, life doesn't always go to plan so whatever happens, happens.

Rigth now we live in a studio in Queens. But our building allows us to upgrade depending on needs.. So after we say I do we are putting in for a two bedroom.. I cannot wait for a bigger kitchen!! That is my only gripe about living in a studio LOL. We will
FH is from CT and I'm from Long Island... for the entire first year of our relationship we talked about him moving to NY and our plan was to stay here. As you girls mentioned, life doesn't always go according to plan. I ended up getting a job in CT and moved there and we were living with his parents for a year and a half to save up some money. We just bought our very first home, and truthfully, it was only possible because it is NOT on LI!
We bought our small house 5 yrs ago. Although we have put blood sweat and tears into it, and have finally made it 'ours,' we are actually thinking of moving upstate some time in the next couple of years. The LI taxes are killing us.
