Good Morning Ladies, Happy Monday

Before I ask my question, I want to say THANK YOU to Melissa for picking me.

Okay, here goes nuttin'!!!

How did you first hear about LIW? Did you create a user name before you became engaged? Are you more or less addicted than the person who referred you?

My sister, who happens to be 8 years younger than me told me about LIW. She had a few ladies at her wedding that she met here.

I didn't create a user name until after I was engaged. I may have to check the date, because it might have been the day of or right after we got engaged.

Right now I'd have to say I'm a little less addicted than my sister. She ended up getting thrown off of LIW, then a group of the friends she made here created their own little group of something. They just had their holiday party Saturday afternoon. From that group I think a supper club and book club were launched. But I don't know, if the hostesses of LIW 2010 keep throwing G2G's like they have, I may be more addicted than my little sis.

Hope everyone has a great week!! I could use a little luck because FH is on furlough and this is his first week of four. He said he was ordering a dumpster and throwing out all of the clutter.

ETA: Shoot, I thought I created an account right away. I didn't create one until January. I guess that was when we set our date.

Haaaa...I created my account like 2 weeks before we were actually engaged, but I lurked for about a month before that. I knew about the site because my MOH had been a mild poster when she got married a couple of years ago. I am definitely WAY more addicted than my MOH was...I think she had 100 something posts in all...obviously I'm off the spectrum compared to her

Congrats on BOTW!

I found the site when I was googling for reviews of RH's a couple of months after we got engaged. I lurked a little before creating an account. No one referred me, I just happened upon it when searching online.

I found LIW when I was looking for info on RH's and weddings on LI. I created my username about a month after I got engaged, but didn't really start posting until I booked my hall.

i found the site when i was looking for rhs, and i lurked for awhile-prob 2 months or so before i joined, bc i got engaged in october, and i didnt join until february

A girl that I worked with told me about the site, so I would lurk around after I found out that FH had the ring. I didn't create a username until a couple of days after we got engaged. I'm definitely more addicted than the girl from work, she never went to any g2g's or twoty and didn't make friends that she hangs out with all the time from the boards

i also found it when i was googling for some information or questions i had...joined a couple months after lurking..and then stopped for the whole summer bc it was way too stressful..and came back

I wasn't reffered by anyone.. I stumbled across LIW while searching for RH's. So no I didn't have an account before I was engaged.

I found LIWeddings on my own. I was googling for RHs' and came across it. Now, I am the one who tells every girl I know that has gotten engaged about it!!
I created my user name in the same month that I became engaged. At first I was just a 'watcher' and it took me a while to find my voice. BUT now here I am!!!!

I made a user on the day we booked our hall. and immediately became a hard core addict.
no one referred me, found the site while searching for reviews on my RH

love all the friends I made on here

my sister was a 2008 bride and was on this site constantly during her planning process.. so much that i used to make fun of her LOL.. now she chuckles that i'm on here

she stalks from time to time... Hi Shanon!!!!!

i didn't create a user name until after i was engaged

& i would have to say i am less addicted than my sister was LOL.. she used to be on here all hours of the day and night.. i'm pretty much only on here while i'm @ work

i found LIW randomly searching the net for wedding website, so nobody referred me... unless u count google, lol.
ive become more n more obsessed with LIW since then, like everyone else. and i didnt have a username until after i was engaged.

I actually don't remember how I heard about LIW I think it was through Fortunoff but not 100% sure

I found this site while looking up RH's about 1 month after I got engaged. I lurked for around 2 weeks then decided to take the plunge and jump into the conversations.

Congrats Kim on botw!!
we got engaged last Christmas but I didn't join until may 09. I had happen to come across the page while searching for Rh. we were planning a small wedding and was having some trouble finding places that would take our numbers. I actually found the site from the list of rh and then came across the chat!!
Im really glad I joined because its nice to have people to speak about weddings with. Its really an amazing thing that this website is and brought together such great people. Im so excited for my own wedding but just as excited for all of your weddings too!!

I googled something for weddings or I think nyc weddings and this site came up. I actually didn't even know that this was the same site as LI weddings. I guess that explains why the whole board is from LI except for me lol.

I was doing a search for RH on Long Island and LIW came up. I clicked on it and started getting interested on some of the topics being talked about. I lurked for a while and then decided to join. I don't post as much as I would like to but LIW has really helped me with my wedding planning and I owe a big thank you to the girls on here for all of their great ideas! I don't know where I would be without...

I've heard about it about 2 years before I got engaged just through conversations with other girls. About a week after I got engaged I decided to come see what all the talk was about. I'm certainly glad that I did.

I was planning from far, far away, so I googled a lot; this site ALWAYS came up as my top search. I didn't join officially until a few months after I got engaged, and I didn't start posting like crazy until boredom set in at my new job .
