I left my lunch home today and Now Im not happy because I have a long day today , I didnt do confirmation when I was younger so now I take classes every Wednesday night for 2 hours at the church or they wont marry us. I wont be home until 9p
Anyway enough of that
Todays question is
Are you a saver or spender when it comes to handling money? I have a little spending problem.. and FH is a penny pincher LOL I guess it balances everything out because if he was anything like me We'd be In BIGGGGGG trouble.
Also Who will have the primary responsibility for making sure that bills are paid on time? We are both on top of the bills so everything is always paid on time as a joint effort from both of us.

well the bills department is all me. The bills would never get paid if I didn't keep track of it!
I have to say, I am a bit of a spender but when I need to save $$ I can. Thanks to my anal-ness of making an excel budget spreadsheet which I update daily (yes daily), I am never scrambling for $ to pay the bills. Pretty much my income from my 9-5er during the week goes towards bills, savings, and wedding. I have a weekend job at a deli which the funds from there are my spending $ for the week.

HAHA You are not alone with the excel spread sheet.. Every night FH is like I have to do calculations on his little excel sheet and Im like ???????? What exactly do you have to be calculating every single night ? Why cant he just calculate in his head like me LOL so anal UGH lol

Me and FH handle money very differently - he is a saver and I am usually a saver but I don't usually have the cash flow to save.
I have some debt that i focus all my money/income into and right now with not being employed FT that has become difficult.
FH has no expenses really - and he has a great paying job so its good that one of us has the means to save.
As for bills - he will do that since he is good w/ the savings part. I am on time w/ everything and so is he - but he is better with managing money then I am.
Gotta give credit where its due lol

im actually like you Neeks.. and i thank God everyday for my FH .. he change and tamed me in soo many ways with $$... esp with the wedding .. if it were up to me, I would be in the poor house after the wedding
with bills, we both mayke sure we pay on time.. we dont have any combined bills at the moment..but we dont play with our credit scores

Are you a saver or spender when it comes to handling money? definitely a saver....both my parents and FH's parents are very cheap and have taught us to be the same with our $. Their motto is to live well below your means and its something we've tried to do as well, even tho sometimes its hard! Spending all this money on the wedding is really hard bc its so ingrained to be cheap with everything! I'm having anxiety about parting with my savings!

Right now, I handle all the bills...FH doesn't even know we get bills Each month I tell him, OK I need ur money for the month, he deposits it in our a/c and that's all he knows...everything else is all me which I don't mind bc I like to handle $$

I am def the saver although I usually save enough so I can spend a lot!!! FH is sooooo bad with money he already said when he starts his job im going to be in charge of his paychecks.
As far as bills go FH just thinks if he doesnt open them they dont exsist lol I will def be in charge of all the money for paying bills.

I am a saver and FH is a spender. I love nice things so what I do is if I see something I want to buy I start a fund and save for it. FH and I both have good jobs but we'd probably save more money if we lived together but for now the wedding is our focus and we are committed to making it everything we want it to be. I also don't have tons of outstanding debt. I have a couple of credit cards that I use for small purchases. Large things I try to pay for with cash so I don't wind up in tons of debt. No student loans. I do have a car payment and just general living expenses. Oh if only I never had to pay a bill I would be the happiest woman on earth

I think we are both good about saving, but its definitely harder for me. we dont have any joint bill and are both very good about paying on time so im not sure whos job that will be once we are married

We're in trouble!!!! we're both spenders. Although I'm a smart spender, and FH will buy anything he feels like buying, without it being on sale. Henceforth, the joint and seperate accounts. As long as we put in a certain percentage of our salary into the joint and all the bills are paid, we can do whatever we'd like with our seperate accounts.
PS: Neeks. my FH is attending those same classes and after he signed up and began attending, I found out that you actually don't need confirmation to be married in a Catholic church (or maybe just my church). Anyway, I didn't dare tell the FH this or he would have dropped out immediately, and I kind of want him to go through with this. I think he's learning important things, and I go with him (even though I've had my confirmation) so I'm relearning as well!

Please I just had another bickering session with FH because he S*CKS at saving a dime or not buying crappola. So annoying. I have a seapret account from FH thank god otherwise we def woudl be in trouble. Im a spender sometimes but I have so many bills that all my money goes to that.

Im definetely a saver and FH is a spender. He's finally starting to realize that he also has to save money for the wedding and our future together!
Im such a penny pincher, it's actually really bad!!! I feel like FH and I cant go out or anything so we can save money for the wedding.
When it comes to bills, I'm going to be the one on top of them. FH tends to slack on paying them. he's never late, but he kind of pushes them to the last minute and Im afraid that they wont be paid on time!

I am a saver, and fh is a spender. We don't live together yet but we have a joint savings account that we are using for the wedding. There are times I will tell fh our balance and he's shocked because if it were up to him we would have $0 in the bank

Im the saver and hubby is the spender... It gets annoying sometimes but hey! I dont have any credit card bills ., car is paid off all of the bills in the house is paid so i cant worry too much...He knows this wedding is the focus so he's been good lately.
