QOTD - 1/7/13

Ugh! First day as BOTW and posting FAIL! I tried posting this from my phone on the train into work this morning and didn't realize until now that it hadn't posted. I'll do better tomorrow.

Morning Ladies & Gents,
Ok, I'm going to try not to repeat questions, or at least recent ones but I know I've missed a lot of QOTD and we all generally enjoy discussing the details of our weddings anyway so here goes.

**What special traditions or interesting elements are you incorporating into your wedding plans?

-My father and FH are both volunteer firefighters so we will have trucks from each of their departments on hand. FH is also a police officer and though he is 100% Italian, I am 50/50 Italian and Irish. About a month ago FH suggested we have bagpipers at the reception. I think I initially looked at him a bit cross eyes when he first suggested it but the idea has grown on me. I think my mom will love it! There might be a few more but it is so early and the train is rocking me to sleep.

I still need to talk to our priest, but I think we are going to do a ring warming ceremony during our mass.

Our RB are carrying replicas of the Holy Grail from Indiana Jones with the rings inside.

We are hoping to be able to do a hands ceremony, instead of the unity candle we are doing the sand and having our daughter pour a container, our flower girls are going to be wearing mini top hats (i have a vintage theme) our seating chart is actually skeleton keys with a tag attached to it.....thats all I can think of right now

We are getting married on FH's parents 39th wedding anniversary so we are going to surprise them with a mini replica of their original wedding cake. We think they will get a kick out of that!
