Hey, girls!

Do you have any ideas for centerpieces? Floral or non floral? high or low?

I plan on doing low floral centerpieces, but I'm not looking to spend a lot of $ on a florist. I wanted to do three different sized vases with submerged flowers and a floating candle on top, but I've heard that they can be expensive!

Have you chosen a color scheme?

We definitely want the bridesmaids dresses to be blue, but we haven't decided on another color. I think pale pink would like nice with royal blue....but we'll see.

Have a nice Saturday

I'm doing a mix of highs and lows and my lows will definite incorporate floating candles! I love that look. Everything will be calla lilies since I love them and I'm lucky enough to have them in season for that time of year.

As of now my color scheme will be a Tiffany-ish blue and silver. Think winter wedding, and snowflakes everywhere!

We really want to do a high centerpiece made of a bunch of branches with some fall leaves attached. I know this sounds terrible, but I saw a sample of one on the site of one of our RH vendors and fell in love. Our color scheme is chocolate brown and rust! FH likes to call our theme 'rustic autumn'

I think we want LOW centerpieces...We're not so set on flowers, but maybe little ones...Not sure yet as you can tell!

For colors, right now it's yellow and grey...but that could change!

Re: ***QOTD 2/2/13***

I haven't really thought about centerpieces. I've seen a few things that I liked, but I don't want to spend too much money on something that is going to die/be of now use to me the next day. Our hall has centerpieces that they include if you want to use them and they change them each year, so if I like those I may just use them.

I knew what color I wanted to use from the beginning. I LOVE the color Cobalt and am planning on having that and probably some white/silver/black touches as well.

I plan on doing nonfloral centerpieces. I also want to keep the cost down. I don't really have a 'vision' in terms of centerpieces, so I plan on going to florists and telling them my budget and see what they come up with.

I don't have a color scheme, but I know the main color will be a deeper shade of purple. I know a lot of the time people use pink as an accent color, but I'm not really a pink person so I'll see what else is out there.

I'm not entirely sure what I plan just yet. But I will definitely be using flowers. Right now I am thinking all low, but every other table incorporating a bird cage. The tables are oval (which I don't particularly like but whatever) So I think I want low 'sprawling' centerpieces or at least a larger arrangement with two smaller ones to make an illusion of them being longer since its an oval table. (does that make sense? ) I also want to keep it romantic and use lot of candles.

Have you chosen a color scheme?

I plan on playing with jewel tones (plum and navy, and throwing in a brighter green (not lime) and turquoise to brighten it up for summer, and gold) I am using a peacock inspiration. Slight touches here and there, I dont want it to look like a peacock exploded in my reception.

We are doing all high centerpieces with flowers on top and then inside the vase will be white burch branches with fake snow. We are still debating on putting hanging crystals from the flowers...

Our color scheme is White, Silver, and touches of ice blue.

I don't want floral centerpieces! I want to do floating candles in vases of different heights, with petals around it.

I want to do purples in my color scheme!

We are thinking of low centerpieces with a birch bark log in the middle with candles and some flowers but not too crazy. Our theme is rustic fall, so I want to kind of stick to that.
Our wedding colors are green and orange. Bridesmaids will be wearing green. I just haven't chosen what shade yet!

We are not planning to do floral centerpieces. I am thinking of doing lanterns that are full of seashells and starfish. I'm actually planning to line the aisle for the ceremony with them, and then move them to the tables for the reception. Less waste and less money!

Our colors are navy blue, teal and white :)

I know I do want floral centerpieces, but I'm not even sure what flowers I want yet!! Luckily, my cousin is a florist, and so she can give me great advice and help. (I don't want her to actually do my flowers bc I just want her to enjoy the wedding)

We decided for sure on grey dresses. I'm not sure whether I want pale grey or deep grey, depending on which flowers we go with. If I do pale pinks and ivories for the flowers, I think we'll go with a pale grey. If we go with pale yellow flowers, we'll do a deeper grey. I am also going to let my bridesmaids see which look better on them. We may even go with different shades of grey (not 50 though LOL)

We are doing candle centerpieces. I have two different ones in mind. I can get everything from the dollar store which pleases me.

Our color scheme is like a grey/charcoal... Silver, a bit of black. The BM dresses will be a charcoal-y grey and black. It's going to be a romantic winter night. Lots of silver decor and candles.

I want low floral centerpieces with floating candles - something simple and elegant.

I don't know what colors I want for sure but I am leaning towards white and silver/light grey. Don't know if that is a good color scheme for a summer wedding but oh well!

Funny you should ask! Just yesterday we bought what we needed to do a mock up centerpiece. We are trying to do non-floral to save $$. Our theme is wine, so we chose these tall pedestal candle holders that resemble wine glasses. In it, we are submerging a blue LED light, some rocks/gems to make the light a bit subdued and sunken pink flowers (fake). I think around it we will turn over some wine glasses and put candles on top. It sounds like a bit much, but it really has a cool look.

If you havent guessed, our colors are navy blue and pale pink. I want the girls to be in blue dresses and just pink accents around-- my bouquet, some ribbons and lace in the decor, etc. I want the pink to resemble a rose/blush wine color, to tie in the theme!
