Did you always want a big wedding or did you have something smaller in mind prior to planning?I have to say that I always wanted a wedding, a large wedding I am not so sure. FH definitely is more the belle of the ball than I. He loves to be the center of attention and really wanted a big wedding. I am doing the BIG thing mainly for him and the fear of regretting it one day if I didn't. All that is important to me is the church ceremony where we become husband and wife!

I always wanted a GIANT wedding. I'm Italian so I have a huge family, but FH only has like 18 people in his immediate family so with that being said, my dreams of a 300 person wedding quickly vanished. But I'm happy we're only having 150 - we're saving a lot of money that way!

I so did not want a wedding before we got engaged. I wanted to either have a destination wedding, or maybe elope in Vegas, or even just go to city hall! The one thing I always thought I would regret though was not having the pictures. As soon as we got engaged it was like a switch flipped in my head and I NEEDED a wedding
FH was like what happened to a small wedding?? He eventually changed his mind too though and realized he wanted to celebrate with family and friends.

I've always wanted a big wedding. I always wanted to wear a big white dress and be a princess for the day!

I figured if I got married it would be small and outdoors. Finding out that small and outdoors costs a lot more than I thought. We are doing an average size wedding at a rh which is fine cause I still get to marry my best friend and not break the bank.

I always wanted a big wedding, but not as big as we are having. We are inviting 300 people!! I dont think we even KNOW 300 people well enough to invite them!

I seriously wanted to elope or get married on a cruise ship or something. I said to my mother 'How mad would you be if I got married on a cruise ship??' ... She told me she'd kill me.Then we considered getting married on a cruise WITH our families... but honestly... it would only be a few more thousand dollars to have the wedding at a hall.
Now that I'm planning the bigger wedding (and by 'big' I mean.. like... 150people or less) I'm really excited to get married in front of all my friends and family. It'll be awesome for everyone to see how much FH and I love each other and share that with everyone :)

I always pictured getting married in a church (which we are) and then having a reception somewhere in Nassau County (which we're not), but I never thought of whether it would be 'big' or 'small.' I guess relative to weddings around the rest of the country, it's going to be 'big,' but for Long Island, it's not especially extravagant.

I have always wanted BIG wedding, with lots of attention to detail. I love throwing a party. If budget wasn't an issue it owuld be even larger.

I never really thought about it before I just assumed I would get married in a church and not see the FH before and now I am getting married at the venue and seeing the FH before because we don't want to miss CH..but i wanted a small wedding, clearly this is not happening with all the people we have to invite

I always thought we'd have a small wedding. We started off looking at venues that hold up to 150 max, but we wound up booking the Inn that luckily holds 450+. Our guestlist wound up being over 350! At this point I'm thrilled to be having an enormous wedding, I never had big parties so if I'm only going to do it once we're going all out! So excited.(PS. We're both European but FH's family is literally enormous. First cousins only from both sides came out to 220. So bananas)

Whenever I did think about my wedding, I just knew I wanted it on the beach...so as long as we didn't stray from that I'm pretty laid back with everything else!

I always wanted the big wedding. After we got engaged I started thinking about doing something else, like a destination wedding with our closets families. While I love that idea, I dont think I would feel complete without ever having that moment of everyone watching me come down the aisle, or watching our first dance. Also, logistics came into play-- like we couldnt get married without our grandparents and they are all a bit too old to hit the Bahamas or Disney.

I guess I always knew I was going to have a big wedding because my family is so large. My mom gave me a list of all the family and family friends and it is 168 people!!! Not including our friends or anyone from FH's side.Another thing I didn't think I would have was such a large bridal party. I love the idea of everything being small and intimate, but in addition to my family, I have 4 best friends - all from different stages of my life, that I couldn't choose between and I'm glad I didn't.

I didn't want a huge wedding, but I knew because of the size of my family, it would have to be 'bigger'. Now that the lists have been made, it is amazing how large the wedding has actually gotten. But I just keep looking at it as a blessing that we want so many people to share our special day with us.

I honestly never really pictured my wedding!! Which is weird because I'm wedding OBSESSED and was before I was ever engaged. I think I just loved the planning aspect so much that I never thought about the details which is why I'm so happy that I have a while to work it all out
