QOTD 2/10/09

we are going to the Melting Pot on friday night for dinner. We decided to celebrate the night b4, b/c it was 60 dollars cheaper to do so. ha ha ...gotta be cheap we have a wedding to pay for.

when it comes to flowers, i like sunflowers or exotic bright colored flowers. i dont like roses they dies to quick and they remind me of a funeral home.

as per chocolate? who doesn't enjoy some creamy chocolate covered cherries, or some strawberry creams or even some chocolate covered raisins or peanuts! yummmy

last year, FH gave me the best of both worlds. he had one of the edible arrangements that looks like flowers, dipped in chocolate..he won my heart over veeeery quickly!

We are pretty casual over Valentine's. last year we got cheeseburgers and saw Legally Blonde on broadway..I think this year it will be just a quiet dinner, I'm working like a lunatic this weekend.

I think every day is Valentine's in our world...I'm a sucker for flowers, and fh brings them home at least once a month.

What do you think about Valentine's Day?

i love hearts so the idea of valentines day has always been awesome... but the whole ripping off people for nooo reason makes me angryyyy...

Are you doing anything special with your FH? If so, what?

we are going away next month to foxwoods... that is our valentines day... i think we'll just be hanging out together and ordering in...

Even if you feel its a money making holiday for big companies are you upset if you don't do/ get something special?

nope... we have a wedding to pay for...

Do you prefer flowers over chocolate - or want both?!?!

flowers die... and i'm not a chocolate fan.. a bag of chips is good for meeee...hahaha

Im not a fan of Valentines Day chocolate... I am perfectly happy stuffing my face with a Nestles Crunch lol! As for flowers, I LOVE getting roses for Valentines Day.... but this year I feel like with the wedding coming up and I'd rather not even spend the money on flowers this year. I told him he could just get me a single rose and no card lol
We will be going out to dinner though, hopefully it'll be romantic

I am not a HUGE flower fan and i actually do NOT like red roses. If anything I prefer yellow roses, i love yellow thats why. But on our first v-day DH bought me fire and ice roses(it was our 2nd date) and ever since then he always buys me those type of roses. I like it especially for the whole tradition part of it and always remembering that night and only reason.

I am also not a big chocolate fan lol so yeah no chocolates either. Anything coconut would do though or cupcakes would be preferred lol

For V-day we'll usually just stay in and I'll cook or go out to eat. He knows food is the way to my heart Our anniversary is a few weeks after so we tend to just do our celebration then.

ok i know this is going to sound strange but we never do v day..we do our own holiday on the 13th called tomgina..pronounced tomgeena lol(iys our names n yes i know we r strange lol)..we just usually go out to dinner..but its funny cause we buy v day cards cross out the happy vday and put in happy tomgina ....we never do big presents just some small stuff and as for flowers or chocolate? as much a si love chocloate i never get flowers from fh so i would pick them

were going out to dinner at the milleridge inn and we will prob just relax after and just watch a movie.


eta: i loveee roses and chocolate so either or both would be great lol
