Figured I'd get a question in at the end of my lunch break!
Are you having any surprises for your guests at your wedding? FH and I are so excited to surprise our guests with a nyc pretzel cart! We are also trying to build our own specialty pie/ cookie table. I absolutely can't wait!

I wish we could do something like that but it's just not in the budget. I think they'll be surpised by the mashed potato bar and the slider bar and the candy buffet! :)

My FH is super excited about the cigar roller. Him and his friends are very into cigars and for them its going to be the highlight of the cocktail hour. (for me it will be the martini bar lol)

We got a cigar roller, too - but its my surprise gift to FH! He's gonna be so happy.....months back he brought up the idea but I shot it down (budget) :)

@haw4, do you have contact info for your pretzel vendor??? I want a food truck so bad but imagine most will be very expensive. Any info you have would be great!! Thqnks
I think our main surprises will be the vodka bar during cocktail hour (it's essentially an ice luge with hollowed out fruit to be used at the shot glass to catch the vodka). Our other surprise (despite being another bridgeview signature) will be the coney island station at cocktail hour with hot dogs, sliders, hot pretzals and cheeeeeese sauce!! I'm so excited all our picky eaters can fill up on that lol.
Another surprise i'm considering is doing italian ices that our guests can take as they leave. Our bakery (Sapienza) has the most delicious italian ices in the summer (Cannoli cream ices anyone?!). Gotta do some research if I can make that happen

We're doing a smore station. The vendor we hired are making custom fall inspired smores for the guests. They have their pick of vanilla bean, pumpkin spice, or classic. :)

Right now most of our wedding will be a surprise to FH's family, as they are from out of state and don't quite comprehend exactly what a 'NY Wedding' is! lol I am looking into surprising FH with an accapella group to sing at one point during the reception, if I can find the right group at the right price, I think it will be fun!!

@msatomrsb the pretzel cart is actually an add on option through my venue. There are a few companies that do have food trucks that they send out for events. I know after hours is one.

I was thinking of doing that! We don't have any surprises planned right now. I wanted to get a Starbucks booth but apparently they only do that in the Philippines!

Haha, same here. We are venue twins and we have the martini bar in our contract too.

We are doing the same things for cocktail hour. Yay bridgeview! Were also doing the food truck through our dj. Tons of snacks and drinks, including Taco Bell, White Castle and pizza at the end of the party.
