My FH worked in catering for years, so I am very lucky that he is a wonderful cook. I can make the essentials, but I'm really trying to learn how to do more this year (New Year's resolution..probably the only one I kept..). Our work schedules keep us from eating apart most of the week though, so most times we're on our own anyway.

I mostly do the cooking. Once in a while he will make something and its mostly something with rice. He is obsessed with rice. We have 3 different types of rice in our pantry as of right now. Hahahaha. Tomorrow night the slow cooker will Be cooking the dinner. I freaking love that thing! Haha.

Omg I've had a slow cooker for months and have yet to use it. I even have a huge slow cooker book of recipes! I also am the WORST at making anything rice related. I make meals from scratch, but when I try to cook rice I can never do it right. FH always teases me about it.

I do all the cooking and when I dont feel like cooking theres always cereal or pizza LOL!!!

I love cooking and baking. I do enjoy it. Just one thing I need in my Kitchen- I need a TV!!! I hate cooking and not watching TV.

I need background noise when I cook or clean. I normally always have a radio playing somewhere in the house.

I know I have the tv blasting lol

First, congrats on BOTW! Secondly, I looove yellow rice and empanadas! They are the best!

FH and I do not live together yet, but will in the next coming months and to save money we will be eating at home. We eat out 3-4 times a week, unfortnately. He can cook a little, but really not much. I'm really hoping that someone gets me cooking lessons for my bridal shower or we'll be eating cereal and microwave dinners

We both still live at home so we rarely cook. FH does like to cook though and I don't mind cooking sometimes.

We share the cooking responsibilities. He enjoys cooking more than I do though! I love to make sauce and to bake, but that's about it.

FH cant cook to save his life lol so therefore I am the cook in the house. I dont LOVE to cook but I dont hate it either. I do like when I cook and everyone really enjoys what they are eating. Makes me happy. Since FH doesnt cook he does the dishes which he jokingly complains about. I tell him all fhe time to learn to cook and Ill happily do the dishes!

Before FH came along and it was just me I def didnt cook so much. Id be fine eating a bowl of cereal or a sandwich or something. I def didnt have to go food shopping as much lol I now cook a few times a wk. When I dont cook we either order out or just find something quick in the house to make.

Last night I made spanish yellow rice also with corn, pork chops and tostones (fried green plantains). 1 of FH favs.. he loves pork chops! Lol

FH loves tostones! I haven't made them in a long time. I will have to add them to the grocery list.

I don't love tostones really but man do I love a platano maduro!! OMG!! Want one right now!!

I do most of the cooking. I usually cook an amount that can last us two or three days. I enjoy cooking when I'm not rushed. I love using my crockpot that I got for Christmas. Last week, FH cooked. He made raviolis and they were pretty good. I was surprised because he never cooked meals when he lived with his parents. All this cooking talk made me hungry.

Mostly me because I really like cooking and was raised having home cooked meals every night where FH's family is more laid back. FH will cook sometimes but he doesn't really take initiative and he'll START when I'm already starving

Congrats on being BOTW Erika.

FH and I sound like we have a deal similar to yours. We share the cooking responsibilities and whoever cooks doesn't have to clean. Or if we're lucky we cook together, and it's such a turn on. We love cooking togther - FH says its one of the signs we were meant to be. He hates being in the kitchen with most people.

FH is off Monday - Wednesday, so he tends to cook week nights. I'm off Friday night - Sunday, so I tend to cook or treat out on the weekends.

I love to cook but hate to clean up afterwards so we have a good balance. FH's mom is a terrible cook so everything I make is like the best in the world..thank goodness.

i love how easy it is. Def try it and you will not regret it! Cooking rice took me a while too. Once you get it, its like riding a bike, you cant forget. haha

FH won't eat leftovers! You're lucky!

Cooking for up to 2 or 3 days would be a big help with our crazy schedules.

Eating at home and taking lunch to work will save you SOO much money. FH and I used to eat out all of the time, but now we've really cut back. You will see the difference in your bank account soon!

I didn't start cooking until I moved in with FH. It took me about a year to get really good. If I can do it, you can!
