Another little thing I've been thinking about is all the somethings you need on your wedding day. I was curious to see what they ACTUALLY meant and why brides for YEARS have been doing it! Heres the story if you're interested...http://ask.yahoo.com/20031027.html
So anyway, what are you somethings for you wedding day, or what are you thinking they MAY be?!
Something Old: I grew up in a home with my great aunt and my great grandmother. They were a HUGE part of my life. My great aunt was the funniest person I've ever met. When I lost her, I lost something inside of me. Just a few weeks ago I went to my cousins house (her son) and asked if by any chance they still had any of her clothes. They did. He gave me a blue turtleneck that she always wore. I am going to have a heart cut out (possibly into a pocket) and put it on the back of my dress. I never imagined I'd be getting married without her in the front row and at least now I can have some small piece of her with me that day!
Something New: The dress is new, no? Does that even count? Maybe I'll buy new underwear!
Something Borrowed: If I decide on any DOJ (I'm not really a jewelry person) I will probably just borrow something. If not, I would like to borrow a two pennies. Either the year that FH was born and the year I was born. OR the year we met and the year we are getting married. These will be placed into the heart pocket.
Something Blue: The sewn in heart pocket will be blue, but so will my garter. I plan on wearing a NY Rangers garter for FH!
Hope you girlies had as much fun as I did this week! Thanks for playing along!!!

Something old: My Grandmother passed away when I was very little and I've always had this clutch that was her favorite. It's ivory and covered in beads and it's from the 1920s, I am in love with it and use it for really special occasions.
Something new: I totally thought this was the dress! haha If the dress doesn't count my DOJ is new! They're pearls and I love them.
Something borrowed: Still have to figure this one out.
Something blue: RANGERS GARTER!! I don't want to do a garter toss but I want to wear it anyway because I know he'll get a kick out of it.
NIKOLE, were we separated at birth?? It's either that or our FH's need to be best friends!

Something Old: I might be sewing in a piece of my mom's wedding dress to the inside of mine, or wrapping it around my bouquet. Something New: The Dress and undergarments! Something Borrowed: I think I might ask my sister to wear the earrings that she wore at her wedding Something Blue: Definitely the garter- it's FH's favorite color and it will be for his eyes only :)

Something Old and Something Borrowed: Every woman in my father's family has gotten married with the same wedding band since my grandmother's mother. In the Jewish religion, you are not allowed to have any precious stones in the band that you get married in, so I am going to use that ring to get married in, and then when my next cousin gets married, I'll give it to her. So technically I'm only borrowing it.
Something New: Basically everything!!
Something Blue: Either shoes, or a piece of fabric from something of my maternal grandmother's

Something old: I haven't figured this one out yet! I wanted to use a piece from my mom's wedding dress but found out recently that she threw her dress out. Ugh.
Something new: My entire ensemble will be new!
Something borrowed: Since FH and I met in college through Greek life, I am either going to borrow his member pin to pin inside my dress along with mine, or I might borrow one of my sisters pins.
Something blue: I'm planning to have our wedding date stitched in blue inside my dress! (I know someone else mentioned that already)

FH and I seriously googled the reason behind this tradition last night!
I don't really know any answers yet, but here goes:
Something Old: not sure! Something New: dress? jewelry? Something Borrowed: this is the only one I know for sure. I will be wearing my sisters veil and I am so excited about it!! Something Blue: a patch sewn into my dress, but there might be more to add.
