You're right Jassy last winter was a nightmare. This winter has been good to us so far. I'm hoping next winter is way better my wedding is at the end of May and I'm praying for beautiful weather.

I'm so glad to hear I am not the only one still at home....

FH and I do not live together. I live at home with my parents (fun - feel the sarcasm) and FH lives on his own. I did live on my own for 4 years of college, 7 months in London, and 2 years between MA and VT before the recession hit in 2008.

I was about to move out into my own apartment when FH proposed. Given that he proposed and I knew paying for a wedding and place to live together would be in the cards, I decided to stay home and save every penny possible.

Besides, my parents are left behind in the 1950s, so this was one of the easiest ways to abide by their wishes.

I'm hoping to purchase a small condo, townhouse or short sale for FH and I to live in together this fall/early winter. That will give us a few moment to let him live in it, us gradually clean it up, fix it up and decorate. My hope is to officially move in after the wedding.

If every winter was like this one, I would LOVE NY and wouldn't want to move. Last year, was terrible! The only good thing that came from last year, was that I know how to drive in the snow. It doesn't scare me anymore.

FH and i waited for 10 months and finally got approved for a short sale home. 2 months later, we were finally able to get it inspected and that bombed!
1 week later we looked at over 100 houses, made an offer in 1 and we OWNED it less than 2 months after that!

If i could live anywheret would be Prague.
Was planning to move to Germany but met FH and stayed. (When im mad i bring this up and call him a dreamsmasher)

I'm sorry that the bank didn't accept your offer, Courtney. That is really stupid of them.

FH and I are living together in Flushing. We rent an apartment on the second floor of a house. I know the owners; I used to babysit their kids. We have been living together for a one and a half months. We hope to buy a house after the wedding in either Queens or Nassau.
In a dream world we would live somewhere tropical and I wouldn't have to work. Gotta play powerball...

We moved in together in April. We currently rent in an apartment building in Long Beach. They wanted to raise our rent $100 a month and we can barely save for the wedding as it is so we are moving next month into a basement apartment on the other side of Long Beach. Totally down grading but it will be worth it! FH is talking about moving to Los Angeles after the wedding to make his dream of working in movies come true. He has stayed in NY because of me this whole time. I am freaking out bc i will miss my family sooooo much. I live a half an hour away from my family now and i feel home sick alot.

FH & I have lived together since May...our apartment is in a great place in the Bronx, cute little Irish neighborhood, place for parking, but really obnoxious landlords. We're looking at houses now! There's a few in our neighborhood that would be great but at this point, anything with reliable HEAT and floors that don't break everyday would be great lol.


If I could live in any place in the whole world, I'd have a brownstone in Manhattan. I'd move my parents in because my mom has also wanted a brownstone her whole life, and having FH & my parents all together (but with our own space) would be fun I think

FH & I live together in an apartment in a private home. I wish we had a house - but hopefully that will come soon after the wedding

This is a great question. First, I'm very sorry to hear about the short sale. That sounds really frustrating, but I do agree that it is because something better is coming along! Second, I'm also glad that I'm not the only one still living at home. I have lived on my own twice in my life and both of theose times I really wanted to move out. Next month I'm moving into my FH's house, but for some reason this time I feel like I'm really going to miss living at home with my parents. It sounds so silly.

If I could live anywhere, I would love to move back to Hawaii with FH and our families and friends. I loved living there...maybe one day

Do you and FH live together?- No. I live home with my parents and he lives in an apartment with his roommate. I would love to live together but my mom is really religious and strict and she doesn't want us living together before the wedding. But I do stay at his apartment from Thursday- Sunday so I kinda part time live with him.

FH and I used to live together, then I moved out bc he bought his grandmothers house with his brother, (blah blah) I moved in with my college room mate, and I am actually in the process of moving in the FH at the old house we used to live in together ( )

She wanted to break our lease so it was the only option for us. whatevs at least FH and I are saving a boatload of $$ by me not paying $1200 a month for rent and utilities
