Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
I can't believe it's my last day as BOTW!

Even though I'm not Irish, we still do corn beef and cabbage every year.

What are some traditions you hope to carry on when you start to build a family with FH?

I can't wait to do Easter eggs, and Elf on the Shelf with our children!!

OMG so many! I'm all about traditions

St. Patricks Day- Corned Beef and cabbage, green foods, i plan on having a leprechaun wreck havoc in the house so the kids wake up to green milk and silly stuff
Easter- Dying easter eggs, opening easter baskets, Egg Hunts & Bagels after church
Christmas season- elf on a shelf, christmas music playing in the house, baking tons of cookies
Christmas Eve- 7 fishes, kids will have new christmas pajamas
Christmas Day- nice brunch after opening gifts
Thanksgiving- watching the parade & march of the wooden soldiers (and black friday shopping!)

hmmm.... i wonder if there are any others

My parents used to take me out driving on christmas eve to go look at christmas lights and 'look for santa' (looking for santa didn't last too long bc I was terrified of him so they told me at like 6 years old that he wasn't real) ... but I still go out with my best friends now and look at christmas lights. Also christmas related: Opening ONE present christmas eve... which was ALWAYS new christmas pajamas!

My family doesn't have a lot of traditions but FH's family loves to throw huge parties for pretty much every holiday. I would want that tradition to be carried on when we have kids but also come up with some new traditions of our own.

Definitely corned beef and cabbage. Fmil is Irish but Fh never had corned beef and cabbage until he had it at my house because Fmil says real irish people don't eat it. Which I know is wrong because my brother was in Ireland for St. Patrick's day once but whatever.
March of the wooden soldiers on thanksgiving, going to my moms on Christmas eve for dinner with my whole family and midnight mass.

I love traditions! I'm going to carry on as many as I can

Thanksgiving - Parade and March of the Wooden soldiers
Christmas Eve - Mass
Christmas - Gifts on Christmas morning with the yule log on TV
Easter - Egg hunt, Easter baskets (when kids are little), mass

I'm also looking forward to the new traditions FH and I will start. We're having an interfaith marriage so I can't wait to see how we'll incorporate some aspects of our religions (Jewish & Catholic) together. There are so many similarities since Catholicism has Jewish roots, so we're going to try and focus on that.

I love the question!!

The one tradition I'm most excited for is the Elf on a Shelf during the Christmas season! My FMIL does this for her grandchildren (everyone but FH lives at home together). I always love asking them where their Elf is when I come over. As for other traditions, I'm excited to do crafty things with the future kids during the holidays, by making dyed Easter eggs or Christmas ornaments or even carving pumpkins!

I'd also like to start some adult traditions for just me and FH. Like I'd like to pick a weekend a year (keep it the same weekend every year) and go somewhere together alone for some adventure or just relaxation!

I'm a creature of habit!!

Definitely Corned Beef and Cabbage (Even though I REFUSE to eat the corned beef), Leprechaun will visit leaving sparkle footprints and green colored food and drink, Elf on a Shelf, Christmas Cookies, Christmas Caroling, Christmas CookieFest, Christmas Eve we always do Fish and we watch 'A Smokey Mountain Christmas' (Don't judge!) I want to give them a new christmas book with their christmas eve pj's every year. Thanksgiving Day Parade is a must, when they're older and the weather isn't insane I am going to start taking them. For easter we'll do eggs and make gaduda (italian easter bread), Pumpkin Patch and hopefully family costumes for halloween...APple Picking in Sept/Oct...Ugh Theres just so many things we do that I will continue to do with my kiddos

Christmas Eve - Mass, Baking Christmas cookies, open a present
Christmas -Waking up to breakfast then opening Gifts on Christmas morning with Christmas music playing and relaxing at home the rest of the day. Elf on a Shelf
Easter - Egg hunt, Easter baskets, Mass
St Patrick's Day- Sneaky little Leprechaun and corned beef and cabbage
Halloween- Pumpkin picking and carving then trick or treating
Fall Season we would probably also do apple picking

FH & I are traditionalist in every sense of the word so it is very important for us to carry on traditions with our children!!

Fall - I want to go pumpkin picking out east with our future kids!
Christmas - I want a REAL Christmas tree and I want to have a night when we all decorate it together. I want to open presents Christmas morning.
Easter - definitely an egg hunt!
Halloween - trick or treating!

FH is in law enforcement so theres a good chance he won't be around during the major holidays which is kind of a major bummer but I'm used to it. We can always move things around so we're all together - babies don't know when Christmas really is LOL!
