Bouquet and garter toss...corny or totally doing it?
I'm torn, the bouquet toss is a maybe but I don't think I'm doing the garter. I think its just awkward watching the next guy put it on someone lol the combos can get real weird.

this made me laugh cause i was thinking the same thing.
I have a fake bouquet to toss.
I'm wearing a garter and my FH will take it but he is not tossing it. When I was talking about the tradition to him, he said 'get outta here I'm not tossing nothing you were wearing to some other guy! I'm keeping it!'
I just love him
On a side note I agree it does get weird- I went to a wedding and the guy was sweating sooooo hard when he was putting it on the gurl... awkward!!

We are doing a bouquet toss. My florist is making me a small one to toss. The garter... not sure. I've been to weddings where both have been done...and the pictures were really cute of the guys trying to catch it (FH included) but idk if I want everyone watching as he's looking for it haha.

We are not tossing the bouquet we are giving it to the couple who is longest married .. That we will find out who it is during the anniversary dance..;) I am just wearing my garter and keeping it and giving it to my future hubby ;)
Definitely doing the bouquet toss with a smaller bouquet specifically for tossing. Still can't decide about the garter. I agree that it sometimes comes off so creepy and awkward but it's a funny tradition. This thread might help sway me one way or the other.

I think we are going to do a bouquet toss and garter throwing but no having the person who catches the garter put it on the girl who catches the bouquet. Last wedding I was at, it as just weird and awkward.

We are not doing either. The last few weddings I went to it was awkward and took up a lot of time.

I'm totally in love with this idea! Out florist offered a toss bouquet and I was still undecided, but I knew I didn't want to do the garter toss. We are doing an anniversary dance though so I think this would be a really really cute idea!

We're doing both lol. There's surprising number of people that think its tacky or sooo out of date but we don't care we figure hey why not! I too will have a fake bouquet to toss.
FI is SUPER excited for the garter removal...he's planning to put on quite a show which he knows will painful and mortifying for me because I hate being put on the spot, especially for something as intimate as that! W/e you only live (and ideally only get married!) once!

Also I always feel bad for the single people (including myself at every wedding until this October, lol) when stuff like that's going on. It's like 'hey I'm married and you b*tches aren't!'

I was just thinking about this too. I think we're going to do the boquet toss and garter toss but were ending it there. I don't want the guy who catches the garter to put the garter on the girl.

Exactly!
We're not doing either. The garter toss is awkward and I have very few single friends and don't want to single anyone out and make them feel uncomfortable.
