SNOW! I know I may be the minority but FH and I love the snow.. Just not when it inconveniences us but even then we can deal. So today's question is about your wedding date.. Why did you chose it? Is it an anniversary? Favorite time of the year?We knew we wanted winter and even contemplated a destination wedding to a ski resort. But most of our family isn't as fond of the snow as we are. With my job, our busy season starts end of January and lasts through the end of April so I knew it had to be early January. We are even hoping for a dusting of snow that day to have in our pictures! So that's how we got our wedding date, how did you decide on yours?!

Re: **QOTD 3/3/14**
I always wanted a fall wedding. It's my favorite time of the year. My FH loves the fall as well and was all for a fall wedding. He said he didn't want to be hot and sweaty on his wedding day, and I have to agree with him. So we don't have to worry about being hot.Our anniversary is Nov 5. So we chose Nov 6, 2015 because it is a day after our 7 year anniversary. We thought it was a cute idea to keep it so close to our anniversary.
We started dating in Nov, we got engaged in Nov, and we now will be married in Nov. We have always stuck to Nov dates and they all worked out great for us....so might as well stick to what works, right? ha! =)

We wanted a fall wedding and October was still prime season so we chose the first weekend in November and the price per person dropped, so we kind of based everything around costs lol

We wanted it to be warm but not too hot. We were considering early September, but I didn't want to wait that long, so we picked May! And picked Friday because it was so much cheaper than a Saturday. I didn't want to spend the extra thousands of dollars to have the same exact wedding one day later.I love winter weddings though, but just hate the cold too much. I keep telling FH that I wish I had a winter wedding so I could wear a fur stole haha I think they look so pretty with wedding dresses and a little bit of snow!

I'm a teacher and knew I didn't want to get married in the summer so that left me with my breaks from school. I really didn't want to do it in the winter because of the fear of snow so December and February break were out, so that left me with April. Just had to choose between the two weekends and the first is Easter weekend so I didn't have much choice left after that. But I'm really happy with our date so it all worked out!

We are still unsure of our date.. jumping from September to November back to October.. we're all over the place lol we picked this time of year because FH will be graduating from grad school hopefully December 2015, maybe May 2016. So we wanted to give ourselves plenty of time to get our lives together, FH to get a big boy job, and decide on living arrangements (buy a house? Rent?). In a perfect world I'd prefer a May wedding, but that's life!

We picked our date first because it was cheaper, and hopefully decent weather before the prices went up for 'wedding season'...Then after we booked it, I realized it was on the 25th and 25 has always been my lucky number..We got engaged on the 25th of a month, had our engagement party on the 25th and now we are getting married on the 25th...it's so weird how it all worked out and we didn't even notice it!

Originally we wanted September towards the beginning/middle of the month. That was our anniversary month and we thought the weather in the beginning would be nice, not to warm not too cold. After seeing how expensive everything was, and the amount of people you needed to guarantee for a Saturday, we realized our only option was an off day. We didn't want friday because of the amount of people traveling it would be tough. We decided if it was a holiday weekend where almost everyone had Monday off we would do a Sunday to save some money. Since labor day weekend was booked, our second option was the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. My friends all told me my light purple bridesmaid color would go better in the Spring anyway. I still would have rather had September but I love May too, it's my birthday month!

We wanted Friday the 13th so that left me with June this year, which was one too short a time frame for me to plan second fh begged me not to make him wear a tux in june. Lol so 2015 I had feb, Mar or nov. Day before vday nah, Nov to choose to ask the holidays and our bday so March it was!

Surprised to hear how many girls picked their date because of the price! I won't lie, the savings for booking an off time is definitely a nice thing! I loveeee saving money!! Haha

Same here with money lol. We wanted it to be warm & prices went up for June so we went with the last weekend in May. Our anniversary is 2/28 so we went with the 29th as it was close day wise

Our 10 year anniversary is March 18th, 2015 and we figured we will do it a month later and hopefully the weather will be nicer. Plus we wont have to worry about it being too hot.Welcome New Vendors
