Last night FH and I were talking about all of these crazy wedding ideas we had before we got engaged. We went to the Coney Island Side Show and thought it would be an awesome idea to hire them to perform at our wedding. Also, since FH is into graffiti, we thought of having an artist do graffiti all over my dress the day after the wedding for a TTD shoot. Looking back, this is all insane to me. Who would EVER want a human block head at their WEDDING?!
What are some crazy ideas that seemed REALLY great in your mind before you started planning, but now are just insane to you?

I didn't really have any crazy ideas. Although some of my ideas may seem crazy to other people because my friends and I have very different ideas for weddings.
I wanted to have fake flowers except for my bouquet to save money. FH almost died on the spot when I told him this.

I didn't have any crazy ideas. I did have some expensive ideas that if you asked FH he would say are crazy just based on cost

If Fh and I go with the Rh that is currently our top choice the only reason I'm going to have any real flowers is because centerpieces come with the package. Otherwise I was going to do candle centerpieces and all the bouquets, bouteniers, corsages are being made with silk flower by my aunt.

We always get really funny, far fetched ideas for our wedding. I want nothing more than a flash mob, he wants a bouncy castle and an archery contest, and those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. It's always a game of which of us can think of the more creative funny things for our wedding.

haha sgf2 I wanted the same thing I want a flash mob lol. FH wants a bouncy castle. At one point it did pass my mind fake flowers but I am passed it now.

If FH wasn't so horrified by the idea, I'd probably still be considering it, lol. But other than ceremony flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, etc.), I'm doing candle centerpieces with petals for the RH. I really couldn't care less about the flowers!

Same here. I didn't see the point in spending the money on flowers. Plus my aunt makes the most amazing bouquets.

FH & I didn't have any far fetched or crazy ideas. We are pretty traditional so we knew our wedding would be just that. The craziest we are getting is adding superhero cufflinks and ugg boots

We talked about a magician as well. We know a really good one and thought about having him. You never know we may still do it. Unsure yet. We will see as it gets closer.

I don't even need the flash mob to be at my wedding--I just want one to happen in my life..at least once.

I tried to get my bridal party to do a flash mob at my engagement party, but they weren't biting. I think I could probably make them do it for the wedding. I really just want it to happen too!!!

We originally wanted something really really small. We wanted to get married in Central Park and get a limo to go around the city with our immediate families and best friends and get dinner at a swanky steak house. I still think Central Park would have been beautiful, but the fact that I was considering having my wedding at a steakhouse seems so insane I can hardly believe I wasn't possessed by aliens at the time!

We had the opposite thing happen! Ever since we got engaged FH has gone insane with his crazy ideas. He wants nanny cams at the wedding to spy on people lol.
Our photographer is also a bit off the wall (which we love!!) and we think we're going to be going to adventure land for our wedding photos! We think we're going to have a bridal party pic on the roller coaster! So our ideas are currently getting crazy!

we really didn't have too many crazy ideas, but sometimes I really want to elope because I think it's so romantic. so sometimes I don't know which is crazier, thinking of eloping or putting all this time, money and craziness into a big wedding!

I love the adventureland thing!! I used to work there when I was 16. Such a cool idea.
I'm loving all of these answers

A Disney World wedding. We love disney-- no I am not ashamed to admit it. We really have very few people who are intimately close to us so we thought what an awesome way to celebrate than to take only our closest loved ones to the happiest place on earth! And then we got engaged. Those weddings are EXPENSIVE!! and also, we have the thought of hmm, does that mean your family is there for your honeymoon???? And that idea went out the window.
I am finding now that I am in the planning process I am considering things I never would have considered before-- flash mob, choreographed dances, photobooth (financial craziness for us).
Also, I noticed everyone is along for the ride too. When we booked our hall last year, what they were offering was enough for everyone! Now, I get calls about ice cream bars, chocolate fountains, take aways, all kinds of favors. We are all getting a little carried away!! I will be interested to see what we actually follow through with.
