Anyways, for the QOTD:
Was there something from your first date, or your first few dates, that really stood out in your mind? Whether it was something romantic that he did, something goofy, something obnoxious or maybe even something that you did? Have you guys spoke about it since?
FH and I went to a dinner and a movie for our first date. We went to watch Saw and before the movie began, he goes 'Hey, if at any point you ever get scared during the movie, you can always grab my arms or hands or cr*tch I couldn't believe he said that! He was my coworker and that was just really awkward - but yea, I didn't respond to that. I was thinkin in my head - wow, you have balls
I brought it up to him months later and he said that it was really awkward but it was meant to be a joke - some reason, I don't think he was joking
oh how I love FH

I have a bunch but we went to see House on haunted Hill after work and it was freezing so he took off his outer shirt and made me wear it.
Then we were standing outside in the parking lot and it was raining so he went to Modell's and bought me a hat bc my hair got wet. :)
Then he turned my hat around and kissed me in the rain. It was sweet.
PS - He still sorta annoyed me back then lol. I grew to love him.

haHAH! I did think he was a punk and completely full of himself. I think it's hilarious now when he tries to be macho because now I know it's all a bluff.

There were a few things that FH did for our first date that definitely made him stand out.
The 1st was that we were going to be meeting on a Wed night when I got off of work. I wear dress pants/shirts, etc for work. He was off that day. He made it a point to ask what kind of attire I would be wearing so he could dress appropriately. He didn't want me all dressed up from work and him showing up in cargo shorts and flip flops. He was wearing a really nice blue button down shirt and kacki's when we met. Yum!
The 2nd: I just got a blackberry the day before our 1st date. I was still getting use to the text messaging and the auto-type thing that it does. On one of my texts to him that day before we met for our date I meant to write him 'Hey Sweets', but instead it wrote 'Get Sweets'. I corrected myself in the next text to explain what happened. We I met him that evening he had a rose for me. But not just a normal rose, a chocolate rose. He said 'well you said to 'get sweets'.'
The 3rd: We were sitting out on the patio having drinks and I moved slightly in my seat. He notice and immediately asked if I was cold and if I wanted to move inside. It just showed that he was really paying attention to me.
The rest was just amazing conversation and the person he is in general that did the rest.

I always knew FH as a huge wise-*** from when I first met him. But when we went on our first date, he was the complete opposite. He was absolutely romantic!!

Well it was our 2nd date, but I was so sick on our first date that I don't remember much of it But on our 2nd date we went to the Melting Pot in NC and he drew on a napkin. He drew a fat kid and a piece of cake then he wrote 'I like U like a (fat kid pic) likes (cake pic). I actually still have that napkin in our scrapbook. I thought it was really cute.

haha fh to this day swearsssssssss that as i walked away on the first day we met i stuck out and wiggled my butt as i walked. hahahaha who knows, but regardless it worked!

i lived in NYC and he lived in LI
he made plans to come to NYC and take me out for sushi
well 5 pm rolled around...phone rings i dont answer... 6 pm rolls around, phone is still ringing and I dont answer
He leaves me a VM, saying not to worry, he is still having a good time out without me, thankfully he has friends in NYC
soooo ummmm yeah....i never answered and never showed!
needless to say we reconnected a few days later...and he forgave me
I was too scared to go, I thought it was weird that this guy was coming all the way from LI to come take me out and I felt too pressured!
I made up some lie, that my gfs car got towed overnight and we were up till 10 am trying to get it back and i just slept thru all his calls....I guess he believed me! He obviously knows the truth now!
so funny! I stood my FH up on our first date too!

1) Our first date almost didn't happen because I am always late. He was too nervous to ring the bell, so he called and said he was outside. When I finally went outside, he was gone. Apparently, I had taken so long that he decided to get gas and come back, but he didn't tell me that. I thought he got aggravated and left. Being too stubborn, I went back in the house vowing never to talk to him again. He came back and called me, asking if I was ever going to come outside.
2) Part of our first date was a Bon Jovi concert and after every song, he swore the next one was going to be 'Bad Medicine'. In anticipation of the song, he kept yelling, 'Is there a doctor in the house?' (we had tequila shots, so I thought, at the time that it was hysterical. Now I might just find it annoying, lol)
3) Our first kiss was during You Want to Make a Memory- corny but cute. Too bad it's about a couple that broke up.
4) We had such a good time together, we spent all day together- had lunch and dinner. We didn't want the day to end!

our first date was horrible. i hated him. but gave it one more chance.
our 2nd date was amazing. we were hysterical laughing the whole time and just had a great time. it was the best date either of us had ever had. we still laugh that we cant beat that date lol

We just got along really well. We could talk so easily. He was really nervous around me I could tell. I remember my Fav. date it was one of the early dates after dinner we went to a marina park. It was at night and it was in june and we were sitting on a lifeguard chair and he had his hands in his pocket and he was shaking his leg and he looked at me and goes Can i kiss you? That was it I thought he was the cutest thing. We were inseperable from that point on. We were both soo young but I just knew. He was always doing and saying cute things. I also have a HUGE box of love letter and emails lol he had written me. almost 9years later we are still together.

Aww what a cute question: My first date with my FH was so amazing. we hit it off immediately, he picked me up with flowers and chocolate, talked all night, it was great! I immediately that he would call me the next day..but he didnt which I thought was weird. That night, I had an office Christmas party and I drank ALOT. MY Fh called me in the middle of the party and was like 'Can we meet up tonight, ill pick u up etc' And in a drunk haze, i said yes, blah blah. He picked me up and we walked to the nearest Starbucks to talk (mind you..along the way I slipped on ice! because..I was a bit drunk). We talked for a while and all of a sudden he reached across the table and kissed me, right as i was about to drink my frap! And then he said 'I was suppose to do that last nigh' and thats how I knew...he was special!
