*QOTD 3/31/14**

Good Morning everyone! Today's question has to do with other things in your life that's going on besides the big day.

For me we are currently renovating my kitchen which is almost done! we did all the work ourselves and i'm very proud of that! I'm also in nursing school and in the hardest semester ..I have so much stuff due! and it's super stressful .I graduate in December and it can't come soon enough! on top of all that I work and take care of other little things like the heat just went in our house so i had to shop around for different estimates on a new boiler....4 grand later ...ughh... but other then that I get to relax and do some more wedding planning this summer!

What other projects do you girls have going on? are you in school or planning on going back? are you buying houses? or are you set in a job working on a promotion? or are you all settled and just working on the wedding stuff?

Good question.... I am in school for social work and will be graduating next May. We have my fiances daughter 50% of the time, he has shared custody with his psychotic ex-wife. We fit in wedding planning here and there, thank goodness for long engagements... And to add to all of the fun, I got in to a car accident this morning :) Nobody hurt but what a way to start the week. So basically it seems there is always lots going on in life...

My FH and I just moved into our new apt. in December. We are settled in but now I am starting with the decorating (painting, hanging up the shelves, frames) Going to try and finish up some painting by April and then devote the rest of the year to the additional touches to our big day = )

So sorry to hear about your car accident but happy that everyone is well. Kudos to you with graduating next year!!! I know at times it can be stressful but all the hard work does pay off. You go girl

*QOTD 3/31/14** - Long Island Weddings

I'm working on finishing my PhD in Biomedical Engineering and looking for jobs/postdocs. I'm hoping to finish all of my experimentation over the summer because after that, my fellowship ends and I will have no funding! Trying to find a small lab research job or something to hold me over while I finish up my dissertation writing. Searching for jobs is not fun! FH is in the same boat, he'll be graduating in May so we are really in limbo right now! But I am super happy to almost be done with school- I started grad school right after college, so I've technically been 'in college' for 9 years!

Thanks, trying to have the could've been worse mentality.. And it looks like a lot of us are in school finishing up. We all deserve pats on the back... Wedding planning on it's own can be tough and then with the added stress of school thats how I feel sometime... All worth it in the end...

I am going to grad school at night for literacy and I'm currently a substitute teacher so it's always crazy finding out last minute when and where I'm working. FH is currently looking for a job and we are hoping to find a place to live soon. It's a very crazy stressful time and I'm very glad we had a long engagement.

same here! We moved into our apt in January so we are still organizing it and hanging up pictures. Other than that and working like crazy, I'm just concentrating on the wedding!

We have all of our vendors booked. Now it's just the finishing touches, the little extras we would like to add to our wedding.

I am currently looking for a new job, I am a full year leave replacement and the teacher that was not expected to come back (she moved out of the country) is coming back. Super bummed. Love the school, the children, my team etc... So hard to find a teaching job :(

I'm currently in my last semester of physical therapy school. In May I'll graduate with my Doctorate in PT but then I have to take the boards in July to get my license. Currently, this semester is all clinicals so it's a full time job without pay and homework on top of it. I also work on the weekends as a waitress just to get some money to help me out right now. Wedding planning is tough with this schedule. I'm just really hoping to find a job once I graduate

I just had my interview today for nursing school. I will be so excited WHEN my acceptance letter comes in ;). I cannot wait!

My FH and I have a 3 1/2 year old boy who keeps our hands full. He's literally jumping on my back right now

I am pretty settled right now at my job and living with FH in our own apartment at his parents house. Really just focusing on the wedding right now :)

I've been taking it slow in my life and just enjoying it. I, like so many ladies on here, am an under-employed teacher! So hard to find a job right now unless we want to move away! I took a job in a day care 'teaching' toddlers, and was laid off because of low enrollment, and now I'm working as a nanny. It's so different from any job I've ever had in that it's so low-stress (definitely showing me I can't wait to be a mommy!). FH gave up on teaching and is getting his MBA in accounting right now at Hofstra, and subbing for a district/working in a bank for right now. Hopefully he gets a fab job and I can never have to work again.. I've gotten used to daytime TV and playing with a little baby all day! LOL!

As for wedding planning, we're taking it slow.. we booked our venue last weekend and the church is set, so we're just researching photographers and coming up with different little things to make our day more US!

I feel like I can't complain about my stress anymore lol. I was a photo major but haven't been in school since 2004. I am now working full till as a AML.compliance analyst. I live at 615, get on a 628 train and usually gethome at 715 :( the commute sucks!! We r uunfortunately house hunting while we wedding plan. Which is very STRESS FUL! I was too just find a house get an accepted offer and put that past us! We want our own place so badly!
