I remember how nervous FH was (even though he knew what my answer would be!)...and then as soon as he took the ring out of his pocket, a dog came up right next to me to pee. As soon as the dog's owner saw what was happening, she starting dragging the dog away. Too funny.

Date? July 21 2007
Most memorable aspect/Best Part? going through the metal detectors and the ring in the box set it off and FH had to 'give it up' a little early :)

Location: My apartment (we had picked the diamond/setting together so I knew when it was picked up)

Date: October 29, 2008

Memorable Moment: First, how 'upset' my FH appeared to be but it was the fact he was nervous and Second, we went out to dinner afterwards. So every time we go to the same place, I think of our engagement night.

Had I not known about the ring, he would have done something special (So of course in a sense I wish I didn't know).

Location? In the woods in Vermont
Date? 3/21/08
Most memorable aspect/Best Part? The fact that a woman and her dog interrupted us! Also the fact that the location was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been!

Location = Our apt
Date = December 23rd, 2007
Most memorable = FH lit a TON of tea lights and left them lit when he left the house to come get me. When we got back I knew what was going on when the door was opened and I saw all the candles lit and burning away. Literally there were hundreds of them! One of my first thoughts was THANK GOD THE PLACE ISN'T ON FIRE, but I couldn't say anything to him about that because he was soo nervous and shaking a little bit and at a loss for words. So after it all went down and I had my ring and we hugged and kissed and all that good stuff... he then says... 'this is why i was hurrying to get back, I was worried that something would catch on fire!' He then turned around towards the candles... and he said 'LIKE THAT!' And with that I looked over as he jumped up to start beating out flames that sprung from the tealight! They were already like 12 inches at least! So I would have to say almost burning the place down would be the most memorable. Ha ha ha! it's only funny now because it didn't burn down. He better never ever ever do that again!

OMG that's sooo funny!

location: our living room
date: 4/14/07 (day after my bday...he wanted to trick me)
Most memorable part: FH had this beautiful photo book made with all pictures of us..each page had a caption on it about us...the last picture was a picture of the ring! He reached into the couch cushion and there it was!!! So amazng!

OMG! FH and I had to go through a metal detector too b/c the resturant is at the top of the Stratosphere tower and they make you for security purposes! I was ahead of him and he had to whisper and tell the guard that he had a ring!!!!!!!!

very romantic!!!!!!!!

location: outside the regal ronkonkoma theatre
time: ... 7pm (ish) right after our movie let out
best part: well, besides all of it?!?! when he went down on one knee, looking up at me with his big brown puppy dog eyes and reached into his sock to pull out the box. i melted right there on the pavement! i think about it at night sometimes, he's the best!
