AHHH sorry...I can't believe I'm actually botw-even though I'm crazy nervous about this and feel like I'm going to royally eff up my duties
anywayyyssss because i just found out i was botw, and didn't have much time to think, today's question is going to be relatively easy, although not the nicest
out of all the weddings you have been to, what was the worst aspect you ever had to deal with?
I haven't been to many weddings, but my cousin's stands out the most to me, and not for good reasons..i think the worst was the food, because we didn't even get dinner-that and the fact that there were 3x as many guests as there were seats..
so let's hear them-what pitfalls should we all work to avoid?

Congrats on being BOTW! I went to a wedding one time that was a daytime wedding, outside in August. The whole cocktail hour was outside but it was SO hot that day and there were no umbrellas or shade anywhere. It was horrible, everyone was just dripping sweat. I couldn't even eat because I was so uncomfortable. The place was beautiful and the food was good but the cocktail hour was unbearable and the RH wouldn't let anyone in until cocktail hour was over. It is this reason that I made sure the outside at my RH supplied shade umbrellas.

Posted by iHeartMoogle Oh, and you had to choose chicken or steak when you sent in your RSVP
i think most out-of-state weddings that i've been to have required the meal choice with the RSVP ... well, it was just 3 or 4 weddings ... all in MA. I guess they do things differently up there
Yep! We went to a wedding in VA and we had to chose what we were eating when we sent in our response card too!

Good question!
One was in Chicago, and the food and setup were bad. CH was like a small platter of veggies and liquor. That's it. Dinner & dancing were in separate rooms, which was tough. Dinner was a mess - the bride was trying to be 'classy' and she didn't want to give people a choice so we got filet mignon and some sort of white fish on the same plate so the meat was all 'fishy.' Then her dad gave a speech entitled, '10 things you should know when you marry becky' that was like taken off the internet. It was BAD.

my FH went to a horrible wedding: it was a rock and roll wedding with over 4 hr ceremony after which MOH and the mom made speeches for 1 hr and a half. the reception was at some restaurant on a patio with mesh cover in DECEMBER so it was freezing (the guest couldnt even get their coats b/c they were all locked in some room) then this was followed by 20 mins of 'dancing'(= moshing) with the Rock band blasting
I love when he tells me this story

I'm not going to get into too much detail just incase, but I was at a wedding where they fed us sooo late, it was to the point where we thought that we weren't getting a dinner. Everyone was complaining that they were starving. There were people walking around with appetizer types of food forever and we thought that, that was all that was being fed to us. I was about to jet out and go to BK!

I was invited to a wedding without a guest. I was seated at a table where everyone spoke a different language the ENTIRE night. I was so miserable.
mine and the fact that my dj played the wrong song for our first dance - I am still bitter about this!!

A couple of wedding weren't as good as they could have been b/c of the music. One particular band couldn't sing Italian songs, but was the sole reason my friend hired them. To top that off, they were bad with reg songs. Five of us danced the whole time b/c no one got on the dance flr The other band at another friend's wedding kept taking breaks and the lead singer was hitting on a guest. She was a bit trashy.
Lastly, at my close childhood friend's wedding, the FOG was also Best Man and gave his speech. He called her by his ex-daughter in-law's name, in front of everyone. I was embarassed for her and it set the tone for the night.

greaaat question!!!
fh and i would both agree the worse wedding we been to was not in nyc and everything was sooo ghetto. people showed up to church in jeans, tims, and white tee's. i felt sooo over dressed. then the ch was cheese and crackers on a platter and no open bar no es bueno....
